Escape Artistry: Week 2, Period 3 (Thurs. 07/17)
When students entered the Danger Shop, they'd find themselves transported to the lush, green bank of a huge river. The water in front of them was deep. How deep? Let's stick with very. The water was also dark, meaning if students looked very closely they might chance to see the shadow of creatures lurking beneath the surface. Tied to the riverbank was a large raft with 20 oars, 5 bags of food, and 5 bags of medicine. Should any students be blessed with super sight, they might be able to see the massive rocks dotting the path to the other side through the dense fog that hung in the air.
Again, Ronon was standing in front of the scene, not looking particularly pleased while he waited for the majority of students to show up.
"Everybody on the raft!" Ronon's voice boomed above any chatting that may have been taking place. "Each of you will take a turn guiding us across the river. Try not to kill anyone or lose your supplies and we'll call it a good escape."

canadianpopstar entirely*
ETA: Use of any and all powers is totally fair game.]

And complaining loudly about it to everyone.
While ignoring the giant boulder appearing in the fog.
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
They were staring ahead. Her crew was staring ahead. That meant she should turn around and .... yup. Big-ass boulder. Awesome.
"Right side! Right side!" she yelled, rowing faster herself. "Everybody! Come on! Paddle like you don't want to hit that freakin' thing!"
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
The raft moved safely past the rock, no harm, no foul.

Re: Ford the River [WS2]
The river didn't understand either. Nor the fog. And yet there in front of them again was an enormous line of rock. Might be harder to dodge.
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
... staring. Something huge again. Right? Right. Obviously.
Rikku turned around. Oh, hey. Big line of rocks. Good times!
"Okay, you can stay in if you don't suck this time," she said, kneeling down and fishing through her leg pouch. Ha HA! Chocobo wing.
"Hang on, just a little magic," she explained, throwing the wing up in the air and letting it explode out in a little shower of sparks, hitting everyone in the raft. "Score. Okay. See how it looks like the river just slowed down out there? It didn't. We're sped up as anything. So move, people. Time to steer like we mean it."
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
Which they did.
It helped that it was much easier to miss the boulder line this way. Once they were cleared, the fog would clear, showing them an easy path to the shore.
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
She looked around. "Okay, uh. Is that the shore? 'Cause ... I kinda wanna say, let's steer there? But I'm waiting for the enormous alligator to pop out at the last second and try to eat us or something."
Well, they could have Mr. Attitude, if they did.
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
"Nice trick. You got more of those?"
Re: Ford the River [WS2]
"A few," she nodded. "And some that just work on one person at a time. Those are easier to find, but the ones that hit everyone come in handy. Especially when you're dodging rock-things. Hey, what was up with that one guy, anyway?"
