Escape Artistry: Week 2, Period 3 (Thurs. 07/17)

When students entered the Danger Shop, they'd find themselves transported to the lush, green bank of a huge river. The water in front of them was deep. How deep? Let's stick with very. The water was also dark, meaning if students looked very closely they might chance to see the shadow of creatures lurking beneath the surface. Tied to the riverbank was a large raft with 20 oars, 5 bags of food, and 5 bags of medicine. Should any students be blessed with super sight, they might be able to see the massive rocks dotting the path to the other side through the dense fog that hung in the air.

Again, Ronon was standing in front of the scene, not looking particularly pleased while he waited for the majority of students to show up.

"Everybody on the raft!" Ronon's voice boomed above any chatting that may have been taking place. "Each of you will take a turn guiding us across the river. Try not to kill anyone or lose your supplies and we'll call it a good escape."

"You don't need cigarettes," Dick said encouragingly. "They're more likely to kill you than anything we face out here. Tell you what, you stay with me and I'll get you on the patch when we get to town, okay?"

"Okay, guys? We're going to do something you'll remember for years," Dick said, editing the original version of 'until the day you die' because that didn't eliminate today as a possibility. "It's clear sailing once we get through those boulders. Just keep it steady and you'll be sailing legends. Just take it slow."

"Keep up the good work!" Dick yelled as he dove to catch the medicine. If he was making his crew do crazy stuff like this, the least he could do was save the stuff that would keep them healthy.

Dick put the medicine back with the other packages, stopping briefly to give the nicotine guy an encouraging pat on the back. "Almost there men. And let me say, thank you for your hard work."

"Too bad I couldn't save him from eventual lung cancer," Dick said.
