When students entered the Danger Shop, they'd find themselves transported to the lush, green bank of a huge river. The water in front of them was deep. How deep? Let's stick with very. The water was also dark, meaning if students looked very closely they might chance to see the shadow of creatures lurking beneath the surface. Tied to the riverbank was a large raft with 20 oars, 5 bags of food, and 5 bags of medicine. Should any students be blessed with super sight, they might be able to see the massive rocks dotting the path to the other side through the dense fog that hung in the air.

Again, Ronon was standing in front of the scene, not looking particularly pleased while he waited for the majority of students to show up.

"Everybody on the raft!" Ronon's voice boomed above any chatting that may have been taking place. "Each of you will take a turn guiding us across the river. Try not to kill anyone or lose your supplies and we'll call it a good escape."

It seemed to be going well for Sokka.

Until the GIANT boulder appeared directly in front of him in the fog.

"AAAAGH! Go left! Go left!"

He pointed at the people on the left of the raft. "Left side! Stop rowing!"

And then the people on the right. "Right side! Row REALLY FRIKKING HARD!!!"

The raft creaked with the strain of the back edge smacking into the boulder, which had seemingly grown. Sokka may have noticed one of the bags of medicine heading for the water.

Sokka dove for the bag of medicine, trying to grab it before it went overboard. "NOOOO! My STUFF!!!"

A piranha leaped out of the river to distract Sokka from getting the bag.

Oh and look! Another boulder! Watch out, deeper into the fog it one of Sokka's crew thinks there are half a dozen spread out with less than a raft's space between them!

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," Sokka muttered, as he grabbed the bag of medicine and tried to club the piranha with it.

"Okay, people, LISTEN UP! Everybody slow way down! There's too much fog, there are too many rocks, and really, this river sucks. Also, it's infested with piranhas, so keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. Anyone who uses the phrase 'skeletonize a cow' gets pushed overboard. So! There may or may not be a line of rocks out there in front of us -- it's hard to tell for sure -- so let's all row to the right a little and try to avoid them, m'kay?"

The piranha sank into the river, injured and was instantly eaten by its other piranha friends.

The crew was skeptical, but followed instructions. The raft creaked and groaned as it swiped the rocks, two bags of food flying in the air.

Sokka grabbed his hair in frustration and very nearly started pulling out clumps. "Okay, people, what part of DON'T HIT THE ROCKS do you not understand?!?!?!"

The crew glared. They couldn't control the way the rocks seemed to shift and move to hit them no matter how far away from them they steered.

But look, land ho!

"Oh, quit grumbling -- they're ROCKS. Rocks don't MOVE. If I can steer a canoe through ice floes -- which not only DO move, but are also 90% underwater and invisible -- then you can deal with a few miserable ROCKS."

Sokka glared right back at them. "Oh, look, there's the bank. Try not to rip a hole in the raft when you beach us."

The raft moved incredibly slowly toward the bank, given the crankiness Sokka had imparted on his crew.

At water's edge, Ronon was waiting.

Sokka folded his arms and glared at Ronon as the raft inched closer. "The rocks moved," he said accusingly.

"Yep." Ronon nodded once. "Be glad you didn't get eaten."

"I'd be more glad if the thing were FAIR," Sokka complained. "Besides, getting eaten wasn't on my list of things to do today."

"Nothing's ever fair," Ronon told him. "You and your crew survived."

"Did you think we wouldn't?" Sokka asked, with a bit of a smirk.

"The mission was survival. You did good, kid." He almost liked this one.

"Hey, survival I'm good at," Sokka countered.

"So just the fairness is a problem?"

"Let's put it this way: If we were escaping from actual bad guys across an actual rocky, foggy, piranha-filled river, would the rocks move?"

"Yes." Ronon answered as though he spoke from experience.

Such a liar.

"I am SO glad I'm not from your universe," Sokka muttered.
