The Library [11.07]

It was with a deep sigh of relief that Karal arrived at the libray and found no one else there. There didn't seem to be any sign of a librarian, either, so...

"Shall we?" he asked Altra. The Firecat nodded and led the way inside, Karal following closely at his heels.

"They certainly have something to teach me," he said with a brief grin. "And I'll take any lesson. You know how I feel about that.

"How have your classes been?"

"If it's with the Doctor, probably a lot of running around and trying not to die."

He smiled, though it was in his voice as well.

"Well, as much as you try not to die in the Danger Shop."

"I somehow landed in a class on how to become a quote unquote bitch," he said with a faint smile. "I didn't mean to and I don't think I'll need the help but it will at least give me good examples of what not to do, I suppose."

"Being taught by Professor Beaubier and Miss Bell," he told him.

"...they called me 'Larry'."

He shook his head.

"I liked Professor Beaubier's math class," he told Karal. "And Miss Bell helped me find new clothing to wear when I got here. I had to pay for it, of course, but she helped me pick things so I wouldn't look insane."

"My mother was probably one of the best examples to set foot on packed earth," he said with a brief grin. "That might work best. And keep the ideas of behavior firmly away from me."

"Like playing a part in a play. You know someone's doing a play in town?"

"You'd have better luck asking Amber about it than me, as she's in it, but it sounds interesting.

"I've never seen one. Just heard about it from posters and Nanny's stories about Munchkinland."

"I'll treat," he told Karal.

"Since I brought it up. And since I've not been doing much with my paychecks besides buying a couple of interesting ingredients."

"I'll try and remember," he said.

Not that he and Amber were talking at the moment. He'd said he'd talk to her, though. While he was naked and running through the halls.

"We'll have to wait and see if it's wonderful. I hope so. I don't even know where the theatre is, to be honest."

"Another one of those things I'll ask Amber."

He took a few steps back.

"I do have to get off to work, though. I'll see you around?"

"Take care, Karal. And do feel free to come by the room as you like. Company is always nice."

At which point he tipped an invisible hat before trotting to work.
