"Verona Beach," Romeo answered approvingly. He knew enough about New York to know the Upper East Side was the right bit to be from. "It's south of Los Angeles." Or at least it was in his own world; he tried not to think about the fact it didn't exist in others.

"From what I've heard we're not on any American coast at all right now," Chuck said.

"In technical terms, no," Romeo had to agree. "I keep hoping the next time the island moves, it will pick a place less opposed to the season of summer than Antarctica. Even New York would do."
