"I'm fine," he said quickly. "It was a joke." Obviously a bad one. "People have been having fun trying to tell me the weirdest things that have happened here."

He was going to take that as a no. "I've never heard of that," he said, slightly apologetic. Not that he had any idea why. "I'm from Karakura Town. It's in Japan."

Ichigo nodded, the hint of a smile playing across his lips. "Yes, he's a friend of mine actually. Well, sort of. He's not the friend I know, but close enough to it." See how he was being all accepting? He was proud of himself really.
