"Confused, but well," she said, with a polite bob of her head. "Everyone has been very kind. A man gave me coffee this morning, and my roommate has promised not to sting me."

"His name is Bumblebee," Viki explained. "So I thought it prudent to ask."

"Is he actually a bee?" Susan found some comfort in the idea of talking Animals, even insects.

"I don't know?" Viki said. "If he is, then I've never seen a bee quite like him. But he's quite a bit taller and I am."

"How odd," Susan mused. "Oh, forgive my rudeness." She ducked her head. "Queen Susan of Narnia. A pleasure to meet you."

"Please to meet you as well," Viki said politely, if mildly bemused at the introductions. "I'm Viki. Have you been a Queen long?"

"At least to this place I am," she said, momentarily confused by the question. "I don't think I'm new, exactly, as myself."
