Seregil chuckled. "You should see me when I first come through the portal. I usually spend at least half an hour trying to throw up every meal I've eaten for the last month."

"Depends on how far the portal goes," Seregil said. "I'm usually fine within the hour. Or the day at the most. And that's just me. Most people don't seem to have any trouble at all."

"I doubt you'll have to worry about it," Seregil assured him. "I just seem to have a problem with magic. Don't know why."

"The only magic I've ever run into is the card trick kind," Hannibal said. "And they don't tend to make me retch."

"You know card tricks?" Hannibal looked suitably impressed. "Could never get them myself. I'd just drop all the cards on the floor."
