Because he really needed another person he might risk hurting around. "No, I think that's alright. Who's in charge of that? Can I ask them not to?"

"You can try asking them not to?" she said dubiously. "I'm not so sure that'll work though."

"Asking's always allowed?" he guessed. "I'll see. I need to figure out where to get my uniform too."

She blinked at him. Then laughed.

"We don't have uniforms here. They'd never manage that."

No school uniforms? He supposed he could live with that. "I don't think it will be hard getting used to that," he shrugged. "Okay, that's one item off the list of things I need to do."

"Got anything else you'd like to ask?" Ino asked. "I'm totally willing to help out."

Well, since she was offering. "Who should I speak to about picking up classes? I know I'm starting out a week late any stuff..."

"You're actually in luck," Ino said, bouncing a little. "New classes don't start 'til Monday, so you haven't missed anything. We just had a week break, actually between summer terms."

"Between summer terms?" He blinked. "How long does summer last here?"

"Well," she said, thinking about it. "First summer term started in... May, I think? And this one goes 'til right before September?"

"But it is September?" Why did he feel another headache was coming on?

Ino started giggling. "It's only July!"

Maybe he was stuck in Soul Society. He glanced down quickly, but nope, no black shinigami outfit still. "It was September when I got on the plane."

He put his plate on the table and reached under it to pull out his bag. His plane ticket was in the side pocket and he held it out to Ino as evidence. There, he wasn't crazy.

She dutifully peeked at it. "Then congratulations? It's now July 5, 2008."

He glanced down at the plane ticket. "I hate jetlag."

Ino was totally giggling at him now. "At least you're from a modern world? That's a lot less adjusting to do."

He slid the ticket back in the pocket and pushed the bag underneath the chair again with the heel of his foot. Just in case he needed to prove his sanity later on. "Technically I'm from the future. So does that mean you need to adjust to me?"

"It doesn't work like that," she said, cheerfully. "You've got to adjust to Fandom. Fandom doesn't adjust for anyone, you know."

"It was worth a try," he said with a grin. "It could have worked."

"Maaaaybe," she retorted lightly. "Anything else, or should I bail on you so other people can break your brain?"

"No, I think that's it. Thank you, Ino," he smiled at her. "I'll catch you later?"

"Oh, totally," she assured him. "And I'm up in 504 if you're bored and feel like talking anytime."

"I'm in room 204. If I remember it correctly," he told her. "If I feel the need for a headache, I'll know where to go."

That just got a laugh. "I'll remember that," she mock-threatened.

"I don't doubt it," he said dryly. "You should go share with other new students."
