"Let's see, I've been here longer than you so I know how this place works," which was the real reason, "I've got friends -- and relatives -- in high places," not something he usually would point out but there was an air about this kid that made Dean add it in, "and I'm just overall a pretty awesome guy."

"Look, while I appreciate the advice," He didn't. "I don't plan on staying here long. So it's probably best I don't make too many friends. Wouldn't want any tears and false promises of keeping in touch."
