"Yeah, she's getting names down pretty good now," Dean said, grinning at her. "Alec still confuses her though."

"I'm not surprised. Adults here are confused by the whole doppelganger thing," Meg said, going to tickle her again. "I'm sure she'll be able to tell the difference soon enough."

"Good boy," Meg said, winking at him. She smiled down at Grace again. "I'm kind of having a flashback of when we first met. Except she was way smaller then."

"I know," Meg agreed. This time last year she was still moping over Duncan leaving her. "Been through a lot since then."

"Uh-huh," Meg said. She really wished she hadn't brought the whole thing up since it just reminded her that the summer was half over.

Dean leaned in for a kiss. "There's lots of this last year I would've said sucked, but you definitely not only don't but are probably the best thing."

Meg smiled and shifted Grace over to her hip so she could lean in and kiss him properly. The thought of the end of summer wasn't going to stop nagging her completely but what he said did make her feel better.
