Ronon was gnawing on a turkey leg, hoping for an attack of some kind as he took in all the mingling people.

During his scan of the mingling Worf took stock of the man with the hair devouring a turkey leg.

He adjusted his cap (http://images.cabelas.com/is/image/cabelas/s7_950623_imageset_01?$main-Large$) as he looked at him. This one may bear additional watching.

Ronon made sure to take stock of the kid watching him even as he glared in return, daring him to start something.

Vala wasn't a teacher any longer, but that didn't mean she didn't want to meet new people. Especially extremely good-looking and well-muscled new people.

The turkey leg just meant he would be a challenge to domesticate, if she was so inclined. She wandered over, hands in the pockets of her slacks and a smile on her face. "Hello. Welcome to Fandom."

Ronon paused in his food consumption and smiled curiously in return. "Thanks. They do this sort of thing all the time?" He gestured with the turkey leg at the whole party set up.

She shrugged a shoulder. "Usually once a semester, at least. The students seem to like meeting everyone at once. The turkey legs are new, though."

"Good food," he approved of the turkey leg. It required no silverware.

"You a teacher?"

"Not anymore. I work once a week at the diner in town. Sundays. Are you teaching?"

"Yeah," Ronon said through a hunk of meat he'd ripped off the turkey leg while she was talking. "How to escape stuff."

"Heard these kids get into it," he shrugged, finishing off his snack.

"Either that or fighting during an invasion. And reality shows. They seem to get really into reality shows for some reason," she noted.
