Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Despite the fact that they were still in Antarctica, the weather for the picnic was beautiful. It was sunny, warm, and clear enough to see many of the icebergs circling the island from the school's location. If people were still cold, there was more warm food than usual out on the tables, and hot drinks were being kept well-stocked.

Along with the tables and chairs near the food, there was a table of nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and one listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

It was time for the picnic to begin!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible.]

"Ooooooh, I love technical stuff!" Rikku said, bouncing. "I can build machina and droids and reverse-engineer things. You have such awesome things in this world! What do you need help with?"

She considered her other question. "Uh. I didn't take the class on being awesome. My ex did, though. He made everyone wear suits and ask out lots of people."

"Wow, you can build droids? Are machina what your world calls mechas?" This was so cool! Momoko had to have the coolest big sister at the whole school!

"I can use technology - I have a mecha back home that I can pilot and all - but problems seem to get worse when I try to help fix something. The professor says it's because I get bored too easily and I look for shortcuts instead of doing things the right way."
