Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Despite the fact that they were still in Antarctica, the weather for the picnic was beautiful. It was sunny, warm, and clear enough to see many of the icebergs circling the island from the school's location. If people were still cold, there was more warm food than usual out on the tables, and hot drinks were being kept well-stocked.

Along with the tables and chairs near the food, there was a table of nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and one listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

It was time for the picnic to begin!

"Hi!" Marshall pulled back a little so he could see her face. "You! I can't believe you're here! Why didn't you tell me? I could have spent all week bouncing about it."

"And miss out on all the bouncing? I wanted to see it for myself," she explained. "I mean, as long as you're good with it and all."

"Of course I'm good with it! You have no idea how much I've missed you," More hugging. "If you do have an idea of how much I missed you, multiply it by, like, eighty-two."

She was trying to give back just as good a hug as she was getting. "The summer's been awful not having you around. But suddenly now it's looking up."

"Uh, total understatement!" Marshall said excitedly. "I'm teaching a class on relationships this semester and I can send my students to you so they can learn what an awesome significant other acts like!"

"Great! I'll be the one teaching them how to run around in circles and chase each other!"

"You're teaching here? What am I talking about, of course you are," Marshall said. She was a teacher, duh. "We're going to be working together. We're co-workers."

"Ooh! We can have lunch together and everything," she said. "And I'd say we can carpool, but I think this place has gone green..."

"Oh yeah, there's no cars or anything. Or buses. Just feet. And bicycles, I guess," Marshall said. "But the town is pretty small. And oh! We have to go to the bar. You're going to love it. There's karaoke."

"I love this town," Lily decided, and wisely didn't ask how the shopping was. "No Korean Elvis though, right?"

"No. God, no. There are zombies though," Marshall tilted his head. "...I'm not sure if they're Korean or not. But like Korean Elvis, they do rock infinity."
