A note had been sent around to all the students in both How to Blend In and Courtly Dancing and Defence telling them to meet at the Danger Shop for both the 3rd and 4th periods.

The Danger Shop was set up with racks of costumes again - formal clothes with many, many masks of all different sorts to choose from.

Aly was smiling as she glanced around at the students though her eyes were sharp to pick out injuries or worries from the weekend. "It's good to see all of you in one piece more or less after the past weekend. Sadly for you, because we won, you all still have class today," she teased. "Next time, keep that in mind."

"As I'm sure you've all noticed, we're going to have both classes together today. For a masquerade ball. Students learning how to blend in? I think the mission here is obvious. Watch the Danger Shop generated attendees and the Courtly Dancing class and remember the rules of disguise and taking on a character. Courtly Dancing? Your 'special accessories' are on that table" Aly pointed to a table full of weapons. "Everything else you've learned - flirting and dancing will come in handy. Those of you who were in both classes? You have a head start."

"All of you can mingle, dance, learn what you can from each other or the other attendees and generally have fun. And before you get dressed, let me just say I've enjoyed having all of you in class these workshops. If you ever want to stop by, feel free, and I hope to see all you in another class of mine sometime soon."

He nodded again. "I'll try."

"Do that," she said. "For me at least."

He looked surprised at the request, but nodded again. "Alright."

Aly reached and squeezed his shoulder. "Good. Thank you."

He frowned at her. "You don't have to thank me."

"I'm your teacher," she teased. "I get to do what I want."

"You're a weird teacher," Zuko informed her.

Aly winked. "You're pretty dense to just realise that."

"No, I just waited until the last class to say it," he corrected.

"Not a bad tactical move," she teased. "But then I haven't done grades yet..."

He shrugged a shoulder. "They never mattered."

"Plus you're graduated," Aly said, obviously teasing. "The question isn't if I'm weird, but if you learned something."

Zuko nodded slowly. "I'd say so."

She smiled. "That was the idea."

There was an awkward moment of silence before Zuko moved quickly to give Aly a brief hug.

Aly hugged him back gently. "I'm going to miss you, you know."

He nodded which might have been agreement.

She definitely took it as such. "Trick's going to miss you too," she said. "He talks about your adventures still."

That was his cue to step back and he glanced at the darking necklace. "My uncle liked him."

Aly reached up to detach Trick from her neck and held him out for Zuko.

"Yes! He did! Very smart man!" Trick gleed, bouncing slightly.

"He is," Zuko said softly with at least some inkling of regret.

Her eyes caught the edge and wondered for a second. "You'll make him proud," she told Zuko.

"I hope so," he said, still speaking quietly.

"Will!" Trick proclaimed.

Zuko smiled a little and reached out to touch the darking. "Thank you, Trick."
