Study Hall -- Thursday, October 6th

Sarah doesn't bother announcing the study hall or the announcements. She is leaning back in her desk chair, chain-smoking cigarettes while she nurses a cup of hot black coffee and occasionally rocks back and forth in the chair. She's wearing dark sunglasses and her hair is a mess. Every once in a while, she stops moving, and it's entirely possible she's napping.

There's a large bowl of marbles on the desk in front of her. If anybody pisses her off or annoys her, she may or may not peg a marble at their head, depending on whether or not she gives enough of a shit.

"I don't even know what counts. Tonight will not be boring. I just hope there's no bloodshed." She sighs. "Seriously. No holds barred could get nasty." Beka makes a mental note to grab one of her jewelry gauss guns.

"How're you doing, about...you know...the stuff we were talking about?" Beka thinks of Shane and running into her at the Perk.

Rogue shrugs. "I'm doin' as well as can be expected. I'm still hurt and angry, but I'm gettin' over it." She rolls her eyes. "Of course, this is all in the privacy of the school. I don't know what would happen if I actually saw her face to face."

Beka gives her a serious, but not at all unsympathetic look. "If you saw her, you'd lift your head, look her in the eye, nod and keep walking. Because you've got too much pride to make a spectacle of your emotions. Then you'd come find me." And I'd hold onto you until you stopped hurting.

Rogue takes a deep breath. "Yeah, I think I could do that." She shrugs. "I just don't want to do it for a little while is all."

Beka smiles reassuringly. "You don't have to. I don't think Shane is anxious to confront you. I'm sure she feels bad too."
