Study Hall -- Thursday, October 6th

Sarah doesn't bother announcing the study hall or the announcements. She is leaning back in her desk chair, chain-smoking cigarettes while she nurses a cup of hot black coffee and occasionally rocks back and forth in the chair. She's wearing dark sunglasses and her hair is a mess. Every once in a while, she stops moving, and it's entirely possible she's napping.

There's a large bowl of marbles on the desk in front of her. If anybody pisses her off or annoys her, she may or may not peg a marble at their head, depending on whether or not she gives enough of a shit.

Phoebe comes in and looks around. She's carrying a folder crammed with paper and wearing a "Vote Phoebe" button. She finds a table and starts writing things down.

Belthazor glances in Phoebe's direction, then quickly looks away, staring intently at his papers instead.

"Phoebe?" Beka takes a seat next to her. "We should talk about our strategy for tonight. If we're going to have one. I didn't like how last night went. I don't want to shade my truths tonight. Even if I lose, it's important to me to tell the truth. No matter how hard and no matter how bitchy. Are you going to be OK with that?"

Phoebe smiles. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Beka grins. "I like you. I promise to hold my temper, as best I can. But not my tongue. Let's do this thing."

Phoebe smiles at Beka. "I like you, too. Let's show people that we are human and we do have different emotions, including tempers. Speak your mind."

Beka grins and holds up a pinky. "You're on. Cally would say we have to be pinky-swear buddies to do something like this together. It's silly, but it means something. Pinky-swear?"

Phoebe smiles and links her pinky with Beka's. "Pinky-swear buddies."

"Hey, Phoebe," Kitty says, sitting down nearby. "How's the election going?"

::Lockheed peers at the button.::

Phoebe smiles at Kitty.

"It's going." She holds out a button to Kitty so Lockheed can examine it.

::Lockheed examines the button and snorts in approval.::

Kitty giggles. "I think he'd wear it, if he had something to pin it to. Do you need help with the campaign?"

Phoebe pulls off her hair ribbon and fastens the button to it. She then slips the ribbon over Lockheed's head.

"There you go, Lockheed. Now you can campaign for me." She looks at Kitty. "Any help would be appreciated, Kit."

::Lockheed puffs out his chest proudly.::

"Sure," says Kitty. "What can I do?"

Phoebe pet Lockheed's head, giving him a warm smile.

"I need posters and endorsements from people who know me as a friend and a person, not just a politician."
