Once everyone who wasn't, you know, unconscious was in the classroom, Deadpool nodded at them all seriously.

"Okay, first of all, anyone who was doing any kind of fighting this past weekend-- or researching I guess, even though that's more brainy than fighty, but whatever-- gets an automatic A in the class. You can all thank Jo for asking the question."

Another small nod and he started to pace.

"And since this is our last class-- good god where did the time go?-- we'll be doing something fun," Deadpool told them, gesturing over toward a few video game consoles and televisions. "Today you play a game that is full of fake blood and fatalities and FINISHING HIM."

Yes, that last bit had to be done in a low voice.

"So... FINISH HIM."

Automatic A plus videogames? Possibly the best class ever, in Peter's opinion.

Liir stared at the controller in confusion.

Well, this would be some easy meat.

Eve plus a violent video game, even if it wasn't nearly as violent as many of the ones out there?

Oh, this class officially won at life.

So she staked out a console and television and started playing while waiting to see if anybody wanted to partner up. She could always restart the game, after all.

Gwynn is of course nearby. She'll probably just stand there and not play as she had enough of seeing blood and death the last two days.

Eve looked up after one match to find her roommate and best friend standing there. "Wanna come sit with me?" she called over, having the good sense to not actually invite Gwynn to play. She figured maybe she could get Gwynn to sit, though.

Gwynn did come and sit down, but she was carefully not looking at the game.

"I called Conner last night," she said quietly.

"Oh? How'd that go?" Eve asked, going back to the options menu and flipping the blood color option to purple. Hey, it was the least realistic option the game had!

Gwynn smiled faintly. "I'm going out to see him tomorrow after class. I need to see him... make sure..."

"Did you book your portal yet?" Eve asked, selecting her character -- one of the female ones, naturally.

She nodded. "I didn't sleep much."

"I noticed," Eve said. "You were tossing and turning a good bit of the night."

"I'm sorry, Eve. The dreams..."

"It's all right, I understood," Eve said. "I just made sure there wasn't anything on your nightstand that you could throw at me by accident -- if you didn't find that stuff, by the way, it's in your desk drawer."

"I wouldn't throw anything at you, Eve."

"Of course you wouldn't. But when you're sleeping, sometimes it's easy to react to the dream or nightmare you're having," Eve said.

Jo bounced as she found an unoccupied console and looked about for a partner.

Anemone had come a long way since Bart had introduced her to the concept of a video game, and she snatched up a controlled with glee to set about destroying her opponent.

Sam had no problem playing video games in this class as well. It was actually kind of therapeutic.
