As the class assembled, they would have been greeted by the smells of freshly cooked food, and the possibly disturbing sight of Bond wearing an apron.

"Regardless of the former-Vice Principal's antics over the weekend, I trust you all remembered the assignment I gave you last week," he said. "And brought along an example of food from your homes to share with the class."

Bond gestured at the spread of food on the tables, which consisted largely of several kinds of sausages, toast, eggs done in a variety of different manners, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast, and rather a lot of bacon. "For my part, this here an example of the traditional English breakfast. However, as you can no doubt see, the sheer amount of food, and the main method of preparation, does not make this advisable as an everyday occurrence." He continued on for a while, explaining some of the regional differences in the dish throughout the United Kingdom, although thankfully he didn't explain what exactly black pudding was made of.

"Now, I would all like you to share what you've brought with the class, and explain a bit about it."

"You should have terrorised them with the black puddings," Jenny pouted. "That's always good for a lark."

"After the weekend they've had?" Bond asked. "That would have just been cruel."

"You're no fun. Are you sure you're English?" Jenny queried. "I thought the purpose of the black pudding was to terrorise foreigners. Well, that and haggis, but who understands the Scots?"

"With those accents? Only other Scots."

Jenny knew she liked him. And not just because he was hot like burning. "Quite. Would it have been cheating to have brought haggis?"

Bond rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Not. But you would have had to try it first to prove it was edible."

Jenny looked starkly horrified. "What, you mean actually put it in my mouth?"

"That is what eating generally involves."

Jenny had put many horrible things in her mouth, some of them even classed as 'food.' But, haggis? "You're a cruel man. Good thing I stuck to curry."

"Very wise choice," Bond agreed, nodding. "I'd not wish haggis on anyone."

"A kind choice. Although we must use what weapons we can. We English have to stick together. There's a Welsh girl now, you know. I think they're invading," she said in the low tones of one sharing a confidence.

"Welsh, you say?" Bond said, leaning forward conspiratorially. "Has she done anything suspicious?"

"Well," Jenny said, leaning in toward him, "She's Welsh. And she said one of the aliens was from Minsk. And she's Welsh."

"So she's very Welsh?"

"She is. She had that look about her, you know, like she might start saying things that don't sound anything like they're spelled at any moment."

"The ones with 'y's in the place of vowels?"

"And two ls," Jenny said with wide eyes.

"Clearly, something must be done."

"Well, she hasn't made her move yet," Jenny pointed out. "But I thought you should be warned."

Bond nodded. "Forewarned is forearmed, after all."

Jenny tapped the side of her nose with one index finger. "Exactly. So pleased we understand one another."

"Just remember to keep your eyes open for any more of them."

"For England," Jenny said by way of agreement.

"For England," Bond repeated.
