Courtly Dance and Defence - Week 5, Period 4

"So last week we waltzed," Aly said, just as she finished setting up the video equipment.  "This week, we're going to do something a bit less formal but even more fun and salsa."

She pushed play on the DVD and a series of dances started to play.

Once they were done, Aly demonstrated the basic partnered steps of the salsa, letting the class follow along slowly before clapping her hands and switching on some salsa music.  "Throw your hips into it and move with the music," she said with a grin.  "So go ahead and partner up and give this one a try."

Really, she was just amused to see what some of the members of the class would come up with.

[OOC:  omg, I'm sorry for the lateness on this one!  I got called into work on my day off (yay overtime?) but I am back and around now.]

To be honest, Chad hadn't really expected anything. Dancing, for the most part, for him, was the opposite of cooking, too. He knew he could cook; dancing was something else entirely. But he was right in the fact that he could salsa, leading Cassandra easily and skillfully. He hated to be cliche about it, really, but it as kind of just in his blood.

Cassandra eyed Chad with approval as she followed his lead. He was good, and dancing with someone who knew what they were doing was that much more fun.
