Arts & Crafts, Monday [6-2], Period 2

As usual, Steve was waiting for his workshoppers in the art room. Paper, pencils (both colored and plain), and crayons were laid out on the tables, along with instruction sheets.

"Today," Steve began, "We're going to play around with something I'm very fond of: illustrations! Just remember they will not, in fact, pay the rent and you probably won't wind up living in your best friend's office." Cough. "I've provided some instructions to help get you started, but if you want to go beyond that, feel free; that's what art is all about. Of course, if you're one of those people who can barely draw stick figures--and there's nothing wrong with that!--you might be better off sticking with the cartoonies. If you want any help or a second opinion, I'll be right here, as usual."

Draw little cartoon characters. Draw more elaborate things. Draw stick figures. Whatever makes you comfortable.

Just don't draw anything dirty or try to stick the crayons up your nose, and we'll be all right here.

She gave him a look. "Not any more it's not." That teasing look was doing things to her and he knew it.

Alex attempted to draw cartoon versions of herself and her family. Why no, she wasn't giving Justin an unusually large head. That was just an illusion. No, really!

Dick wasn't a great illustrator or anything, but he thought he was drawing a pretty bad-ass penguin.

Bah, 2-d art! Deidara was sticking crayons and pencils into clay figures, instead. The figures weren't at all human shaped. At all.

Harry was, perhaps predictably, working on little cartoon skulls. Little cartoon skulls with an unhealthy fondness for romance novels. Little cartoon skulls who were very annoying at times.

Steve's sketchpad were filled with little cartoon Furies pitching a fit and little cartoon Falcons talking to pigeons and little cartoon Buckys looking fierce and what had probably been the start of a little cartoon Iron Man before Steve attacked it with his charcoal. Now it was just a black scribble.

He looked pretty calm and approachable despite this, if anyone wanted to talk to him for any reason.
