Galactic Vacationing - Wednesday, Period 4

The students who came to the Danger Shop today found themselves in the rolling countryside. There wasn't much by way of trees, but a lot of open spaces, a road that passed over the green hills. It looked a lot like Scotland actually.

The weather was fairly brisk and the sun was setting. The Doctor was waiting for them at the top of one of the hills. "Now, before you ask, a lot of places look like this. It's not the sights, it's the people that make any trip. We're off to a little place called the Torchwood Estate. Victorian era. No computers or television or Backstreet Boys. Blend in. It's easier than it seems.

Come on. It's getting dark out here. Full moon tonight."

Sir Robert was standing outside with two of his very serious-looking bald servants. "Sir Robert!" the Doctor called. "Told you we wouldn't be far off. We've already met. These are my students."

"It might be best if you carry on, Doctor. I'm afraid the kitchen is empty."

"Nonsense! Old place like this? We don't mind roughing it, do we? Wonderful!" He jerked his head towards the students to tell them to have a look around. Mind the bald servants.

Gwen was doing her best not to flail or give any indication of shock at the words Torchwood Estate. Just because Jack liked to be secretive about Torchwood Three didn't mean that Ianto hadn't been more than happy to explain how Torchwood itself had come about.

Well, Jenny supposed slightly creepy Scotland was at least a touch more exotic than London.

Trying not to be too awed by being allowed to wander around an estate from even deeper in Earth-that-Was's history, Inara was very careful not to touch anything as she walked around.

The bald servants just made it all the more easier for Lee to decide to never shave his head.

Other than, he just stayed quiet and took in everything around him.

Ella wasn't sure what to make of the estate. She kept her back to the wall and looked around slowly.

It looked like nothing so much as one of the country estates he'd flown over south of the Emerald City. Perhaps not quite so garish, but it wasn't far off.

Standing in it, though, was odd. Almost offputting. Or perhaps it was just the strange bald men.

Kevin didn't really pay that much attention to the servants. He was still confused as to how they had all gotten here.

Nice place. Cal couldn't help wondering if they had their own swimming pool. Because, you know, that was always the big thing to have in Grosse Pointe; why not for Victorian wherever the heck they were, too?

The large estate didn't phase Dōjima in the slightest, she was used to pompous homes in her social circle.

She was less-than impressed by the hired help, however. Their attitude was off-putting, and this 'Sir Robert' certainly seemed like he had the ability to hire better quality staff.

Rodney was still pouting put out at the whole 'no computers' thing as he started to look around. However, it wasn't long before his attention was caught by what looked to be a large observatory on the top floor.

The demeanor of the castle reminded Teyla a little of where they'd gone to look for clues about the angel statues. That wasn't necessarily a good thing.

After Dark

Darkness came quickly. By this stage, everyone was inside the building. Unfortunately for everyone inside, those bald servants had locked every door and window. They were standing outside, ready to shoot at anyone trying to get out. The students, Sir Robert and the Doctor were stuck inside.

The full moon was shining outside. A howl filled the air. Uh-oh.
