Library [06/02]

When Sam woke up and discovered that all of his underwear was missing, his immediate thought was to wonder how Dean had managed to break in while he and Dawn were sleeping. But all thoughts of pranking went away when he showed up at the library and found every empty space of the desk being used for underwear storage.

The worst part was that none of it was his underwear, and that meant he was still feeling very, very uncomfortable in his jeans. His discomfort only grew when he started pulling the underwear out and discovered just what some people felt the need to wear under their clothes.

After filling a basket and marking it "Claim Your Underwear, Please" he went ahead and opened the library.

"That works." Peter grinned. "So did you enjoy France while we had it?"

"I did, yeah. Dean and I did some sight-seeing, which was fun," Sam said. "Did you enjoy yourself?"

"It was okay," Peter shrugged. "Hopefully Ma will lay off nagging me about going there now that I've gone. She doesn't need to know it was via another dimension."

"Anything you can do to keep your mother from nagging is a good thing," Sam said. "Your secret is safe with me."

"Yeah, I guess that kind of goes without saying," Sam replied, smiling.

"I know. It's one of the perks of having a BFF," Sam said.

"Not everyone does that. That's just your thing," Sam pointed out. "Not that I mind, of course. And if there's anything you ever want me to do in return, I hope you know you just need to ask."

"I meant a BFF bonus for you was coffee and donuts," Peter said. "And yeah, I know. That's part of why you are my best friend."

Sam smiled. "Of course, I hope you'll never need to ask me for anything. Unless it involves pranking," he said, resisting the urge to straighten out the underwear pile a little.

"You never know," Peter said. "I could ask you to get me ice cream some day."
