Galactic Vacationing - Wednesday

The Danger Shop was set up like a park with trees and a pond and ducks. Well, they were blue ducks. Blue ducks with teeth. The sky was an odd colour too, pink to satisfy the galactic portion of the workshop even though they weren't really doing all that much today. "Okay," the Doctor said when a significant group of people had gathered. "Last week didn't exactly lend itself to introductions. You all know who I am. When vacationing on your own, it's a good idea to get to know the people around you. Pick up a friend in the lobby of a hotel or in a park," he gestured around, "and get to know them while you're running around madly. Go on then. Get to know each other today, since you'll be running around with each other over the next few weeks. Show some manners. Name, when and where you're from and somewhere you want to visit."

"Name's Kevin. Just like two weeks ago I was on a small island staying in a place called Dante's Cove. And, ah, I've always wanted to visit those Mayan ruin things." He grinned, proud to have remembered the name.

It's entirely possible Kevin doesn't really understand the meaning of 'galactic' vacationing.

It might be noted that Cal? Also happened to be vaguely sparkly thanks to the clinging remains of a pink glitter shower. He was hoping no one would see it.

He paused before he came up with something for the other part.

"I think I'd like to visit Turkey. I've got to help rebuild a church there some day."

Toby was disturbed by the ducks.

"Why are they blue? Seriously? Teeth?"

He stared at the fowl in total awe.

A duck kept pecking at Ella's bootlaces, apparently thinking them a tasty snack. She squawked and dodged away.

The duck followed her.

She moved again, hiding her shoes under her skirts.

The duck hesitated to form a duckish thought, then dove beneath them.

This might be a long class.
