Alec hugged her back with a deep, relieved sort of sigh. "Yeah. I'm just lucky I've got friends who get the whole possession deal," he said, already shedding some of the solemnity for gratitude.

"You are," she agreed, still with the hugging, "and, more importantly, they all worry and have cell phones that work. They're also way glad you're back."

She shrugged. "Other than that, it kinda comes and goes. You know how it is. Still rooming with Sam and planning to be a Watcher, all that good stuff."
