"Okay," Ned said, already trying to come up with some plan even though he had no idea what the plan was even about. "I'm Ned. I probably shouldn't offer to help you plan something if you don't know who I am. I could be named something terrible like Stinkfoot or something."

Stinkfoot? Ned grimaced and just barely refrained from smacking his head.

Gwen managed not to laugh at him, although her smile did get a bit broader. "Ned's a lovely name." she said. "I'm Gwen. Gwen Cooper."

"Hi Gwen," he said, waving in hope to stifle any attempt at a handshake she might make. "Thank you. My mother gave it to me so I kinda like it. She was kind when she could've been mean."

"Well, again, Stinkfoot," he said and he'd yell at himself later for consistently bringing that up. "It could've been a family name that I'd gotten saddled with because I'm the oldest and only son."

"Plan C should be to not let Ned touch," which wasn't the word he wanted to use, "anything that's important and then all future plans will work."

"I haven't cooked pizza in awhile," Ned said thoughtfully. "I should. I mostly do desserts."
