The Art of Cool: Final, Period 2 (Friday, April 25)

Tink was so excited! Was Barney excited? He should be! This was their final! Tink had never written a final before, she hoped that they had done a good job. It was much easier once Barney explained that finals were stupid and they should go for the amusement factor.

Barney laughed evilly and whispered quietly to Tink.

Tink squeed and clapped her hands. Oh! Oh! This was going to be so much fun! Tell them about it, Barney!

"Welcome, Art of Cool students to your Final Exam," Barney announced dramatically deciding that if Tink was ready, the students had better be ready. "Today we have assembled you in the Danger Shoppe to assess what you've learned from this course. And to entertain ourselves one last time via Obstacle Course. God, I love teaching!"

Tink had to admit she'd been skeptical, but this teaching gig? Not nearly so scarring as she'd feared. Of course, it helped that she and Barney were already so cool that it probably hurt for the lesser types to be around them. Don't worry, lesser types! Your lameness hurts us, too!

Barney clutched his chest, "Truly and deeply." He hoisted a rather large nerf-ball launcher over his head. "Do not worry that your task seems simple, for as you progress through the Final Obstacle Course, you will risk being fired upon by both of your teachers. Completely randomly. And did I mention we have deadly aim?"

They did! Tink's own nerf ball launcher was much smaller than Barney's, but still much larger than, say, Tink. They would be watching and grading the students' performance through the obstacle course and taking in very serious considerations like style and performance and agility and not just when a really funny time would be to thwap someone in the head with a nerf ball. After all, they were professional educators. This was a very scientific final for reasons that the students were too dim to understand.

"Meaning you might randomly be shot with a nerf ball," Barney explained for those dim ones. "Now, may we present to you your Final Obstacle!"

Ron may never make it to Obstacle 4. He's too busy shooting at Ron and Tink.

No, he doesn't care that the guns won't work on them.

Amber had to take about 6 shots before she finally struck a clay pigeon. She whispered an 'I'm sorry, Ron', just to make herself feel better, however.

Dick hit the clay pigeon on the third shot. Sorry redheaded dude.

Dōjima grinned evilly and took aim. It only took her two tries to bring down her first pigeon, but she called 'pull' a few more times, just for fun.

Easy. River shot down two pigeons, one for Tink and one for Barney.

It took robin several tries to hit one of the pigeons, but finally he clipped the edge of one. Did that count?

Noooooo. He had to get it to blow up. He should try more. Tink liked it when students failed.

A few more tries and he got it. Ting might be a little disapointed that he didn't seem disheartened by how long it'd taken.

At last, something that didn't suck. Romeo took down the clay pigeon on his first shot, but fired the gun a few more times for the fun of it.
