The Art of Cool: Final, Period 2 (Friday, April 25)

Tink was so excited! Was Barney excited? He should be! This was their final! Tink had never written a final before, she hoped that they had done a good job. It was much easier once Barney explained that finals were stupid and they should go for the amusement factor.

Barney laughed evilly and whispered quietly to Tink.

Tink squeed and clapped her hands. Oh! Oh! This was going to be so much fun! Tell them about it, Barney!

"Welcome, Art of Cool students to your Final Exam," Barney announced dramatically deciding that if Tink was ready, the students had better be ready. "Today we have assembled you in the Danger Shoppe to assess what you've learned from this course. And to entertain ourselves one last time via Obstacle Course. God, I love teaching!"

Tink had to admit she'd been skeptical, but this teaching gig? Not nearly so scarring as she'd feared. Of course, it helped that she and Barney were already so cool that it probably hurt for the lesser types to be around them. Don't worry, lesser types! Your lameness hurts us, too!

Barney clutched his chest, "Truly and deeply." He hoisted a rather large nerf-ball launcher over his head. "Do not worry that your task seems simple, for as you progress through the Final Obstacle Course, you will risk being fired upon by both of your teachers. Completely randomly. And did I mention we have deadly aim?"

They did! Tink's own nerf ball launcher was much smaller than Barney's, but still much larger than, say, Tink. They would be watching and grading the students' performance through the obstacle course and taking in very serious considerations like style and performance and agility and not just when a really funny time would be to thwap someone in the head with a nerf ball. After all, they were professional educators. This was a very scientific final for reasons that the students were too dim to understand.

"Meaning you might randomly be shot with a nerf ball," Barney explained for those dim ones. "Now, may we present to you your Final Obstacle!"

"I'm not putting on a bloody dress!" Ron shouted.

"OW! Quit it! I'm not wearing the dress!" Ron protested.

Reno eyed the dress. And then looked around for the teachers.

"Clearly, I ain't drunk enough for this final." He considered the dress. Carefully. "I can order more of those shrivel from back home if I don't gotta put the damn thing on. That's ninety-nine nights of you two bein' the same size. My treat."

He really, really didn't want to wear the damn dress.

Reno took the Nerf ball like a man. A man who, if his reaction was on television, might require a good deal of censor-bleeps.

"I ain't wearin' the damn dress!"

"It's not my color. Kairi does pink... not me. Seriously I'm not allowed to."

Sora wasn't the best at lying; he was getting better thanks to the class, but there were many things that were lacking still.

Sora was good at dodging however. Especially dodgerolling. "Can't it at least be blue!?"

"I'm not wearing that," Zack said. "It's far less awesome than my suit."

Jeff stared.

And stared.

And stared.

After a while, it became obvious he was rooted to the floor in terror, and would not be moving.

Amber dressed up.

Gavin put on the dress. Hell, he'd been a gay magician and a member of a Barbershop quarter. This was nothing.

Dōjima stared at the dress for a bit. "Who's got scissors?" she demanded, holding out her hand. "This calls for drastic measures."

No scissors! Wear the dress in all its hideous glory! Do it! Dooooo it!

Romeo balked, arms crossed. "I am not wearing that."

One of them being: hello, commando?

River shrugged. The dress looked more like Kaylee's style, but she didn't mind. She put it on.

Muppets, particuarly ones who have spent any amount of time around Gonzo, were less squeamish about cross dressing. It was a show biz thing.

He was having trouble with the heels though.

Marco glanced at the dress, then at Barney. "I don't have the chest for this." He deadpanned.
