Conflict Management [24.04]

Harriet smiled at everyone as they arrived. Once everyone was seated, she came around and leaned on the front of her desk. "The final today is simple. Answer one question, with reasons, and you're free to go. No one will fail as long as they're honest. This is our last class together, and I want to thank you all for being such good students. And Dr Wilson, for designing an excellent curriculum which I managed not to follow." She smiled again. "Enjoy your summers and do try not get into too much trouble. For those of you graduating this semester, I wish you all the best in your future."

"I appreciate it, Harriet."

Her own nod in return came-- almost as a surprise.

"You want to go do something next week?"

That one came as more of one. It was taking a lot of effort not to let this stupid little sense of bedraggled, scared puppy kick in-- which was exactly why she needed to go.

So she kept steady. Easy.

"Probably the safest option," Kerrigan replied, managing the wry smile to end all wry smiles. If there was anything-- sad set to her eyes, she was using years of Ghost training not to show it anywhere else. "When works?"

"Tuesday night," Kerrigan affirmed. "I'll probably need it."

And was grateful.

...Also, in part, because she was starting to think her chances of not spouting off her one brilliant class idea were decreasing by the minute.

"If you think you can handle it." She was smirking openly, turning towards the door. "Time for my final, now," Kerrigan spoke, with some resignation. "Hope I don't end up dead at the end of it."

"The rules obviously didn't take the students into account," and Kerrigan's look in return held less moisture than the sun. "Catch you next week, Harriet."

She went for the door.
