Harriet smiled at everyone as they arrived. Once everyone was seated, she came around and leaned on the front of her desk. "The final today is simple. Answer one question, with reasons, and you're free to go. No one will fail as long as they're honest. This is our last class together, and I want to thank you all for being such good students. And Dr Wilson, for designing an excellent curriculum which I managed not to follow." She smiled again. "Enjoy your summers and do try not get into too much trouble. For those of you graduating this semester, I wish you all the best in your future."

Chris shrugged. "You know that me and Summer are not like that."

She bit her lip, not wanting to argue, but totally disagreeing. "I'd just feel funny. But thanks."

"Okay, well if you change your mind, you know where to find us," Chris said.

"Thanks," Lana said again, knowing there was no way in hell she'd interrupt the two of them. "It's really nice of you to offer."

"I want us to still be friends," Chris assured her.

"I know," Lana said. "And I know I haven't been a very good friend since I got back. I'm sorry."

"Hey, you went through a really rough time," Chris said. "You don't need to apologize."

She shrugged uncomfortably. "Thanks. I'm... working on it."

"If there's anything I can do to help, let me know," Chris said.

Lana nodded. "Thanks. If I knew what to ask for it would be a lot easier."

"You'll figure it out," Chris said.

She laughed. "I'm glad one of us has that much faith in me."

Chris grinned. "I have no reason not to."

"Well... I'm trying," she said. "I suppose that has to count for something, right?"

"Absolutely," he agreed.

"Well," she said. "I suppose I should go do a little last minute cramming for my last final. God only knows what Professor Skywalker is going to throw at us."

"Good luck," Chris said with an encouraging smile.

"Thanks," she said, smiling in return. "I guess I'll see you later."
