Once everyone had arrived in the Danger Shop, Aly started talking. The lecture today was on poisons and some of their common effects. It was one of the longer lectures, taking up not quite half of the class time.

Once she was done talking, Aly glanced at the class to make sure they were watching then hit the play button on the scenario and suddenly the hall was filled with people. Servants walked in and out carrying dishes of delicious looking food and carafes of wine while a loud and rich-looking group of people dined at the high table, toasting each other and commenting happily on the food - and the servants - as it was paraded by. It was, in short the same scenario as they'd used two weeks ago.

She hit the button again and everyone in the scenario disappeared except the girl on the dais. "If you haven't figured it out already," Aly said quietly. "We're coming at this from a different angle today. Today your orders are to take this girl out without drawing suspicion to you or your faction. Poison is underhanded - it's called 'the woman's weapon' in several countries because it's considered dishonourable - but it is used because it works." Aly glanced around the room, gauging reactions. "So today your task is to work either alone or with a partner to devise a strategy to take down the Queen on the dais. Remember all the precautions we talked about two weeks ago? Assume that the Queen has more than a few bodyguards watching out for her and for any attempts to hurt her and factor that into your calculations."

"Any questions?" she glanced around, answering all that came up. "Go to then. I'm around if you want to hash out ideas or discuss."

She grinned. "Partner with me?"

Because, seriously, this wasn't a big deal. And yet, some people would make it one. Geez.

"You bet," Triela grinned back.

"How do you want to do this?"

"I'm thinking that the easiest way would to be take over the body of someone she trusted," Ino said, looking thoughtful. "The only problems would be getting the poison to that person and then making sure that no one got suspicious."

"What if," Triela mused, "You took over her body and had her pick up the poison from somewhere. Would that work?"

"It'd have to be somewhere that the body normally goes," Ino said. "If the guards are being careful, then they'd especially note any changes in routine like that."

"True..." eyes widened. "The bathroom?"

Ino considered it. "That could work," she said slowly, "but we'd have to move quick--I need line of sight to take control of a person, so just as they're coming out of a stall or something would be the best."

"If I plant the poison somewhere in the bathroom could you get her in there to make her take it?" Triela wasn't entirely sure how Ino's power worked.

The logistics of this all was something Ino enjoyed. "We'd need to scout out the bathroom the person would be most likely to use first, and agree on where to plant the poison," she said, thinking quickly, "because I can achieve line of sight easily out in the main room, but once I leave my body I'll need you to get me to safety. My body will collapse when I take over the person's body and me-as-someone-else talking to you would be hard to explain."

"We can do that," Triela nodded. "Shall we run recon on the bathrooms first?"

"Running recon on the bathrooms sounds good to me."

Ino? Was liking this plan.

"Let's go then." There were a surprising number of bathrooms scattered around, and the pair had to explore them carefully so that no one would get suspicious of two girls who were acting a bit odd.

But when they reached the last one Triela smirked. It was pretty obvious which one of these their target would be using. The one with the gold-plated sinks.

"Wow," she grinned over at Ino, "They take their luxury seriously around here."

"No kidding," she said, blinking at the room. "I mean, seriously, who has gold in their bathroom?"

She shook her head, stepping forward to start snooping. "At least this place is definitely big enough to easily hide a bit of poison."

"One of the stalls, do you think?" Triela asked, poking her head into one of them. It was the size of a small room.

"Maaaybe," Ino checked out another of them. "How 'bout between the water tank and the wall. No one would look there in a bathroom like this, and if we place it low you wouldn't even be able to see it. It's not much poison after all."

"Good plan. Then we just have to find somewhere to take her where I can get your body out."

"Was there a balcony, or something? I think I saw something like that," Ino said, frowning. "Windows would be better. Both would be easy enough for you to disappear with my body. If we can get her out in the main hall, it's only a second or so of disorientation, so it's hardly noticeable and then only if you're looking forward."

"Windows are easier?" Triela asked, looking around as they exited the bathroom. "How about those over there?" she nodded.

Ino went and checked. "It's pretty clear on the outside," she said, glancing back at Triela. "You wouldn't have any problems I don't think in moving me if you had to."

"No problem at all," Triela grinned confidently. "Shall we, then?"
