Applied Inventiontronics, Period 4 - Week 14
Inventiontronics was in the Danger Shop today, and the Danger Shop looked like a generic field to one side and tall-treed forest to the other.
The guys standing in the field with long black trenchcoats weren't quite so generic, and a few had a bit of shiny metal armor covering one arm. Really, they were probably very hot in those outfits. That was Glitch's general theory as to their disposition.
Glitch, who was standing somewhere about the middle, waved everyone over for a quick explanation. Or, well, as quick an explanation as Glitch could give.
"Today, well, first, your projects are due next week." He let that sink in for a second or two before continuing. "This week, though, you're going to get to learn about defending yourself. With those," he pointed to the men in the severe outfits in the field, "longcoats over there. If you don't want to fight, though, you can head into the forest and deal with the anklebiters. That's probably more evasion than it is defense, but it's good to know if someone is chasing you to get at something you've invented."
It was a loose connection, but Glitch felt it was important and repeated it once before shooing them all off.
[ooc: OCDon the way up!]

Re: Flee
Yeah. A.J. wasn't one who usually did well in situation like this, his mind going rather quickly more towards picking out nifty artifacts than anything else. One would think someone would consider that just fleeing into the woods wasn't exactly going to be all one had to do to get out an assignment in class, but, well..
...there were cool stones.
Re: Flee
Hopefully, with his attention so closely being paid to the ground, A.J. would notice the net before stepping in it. Not that the rustling bushes over to the side would mind if he walked on it a little or anything.
Re: Flee
--ing. "...Waaaait a second..."
A.J. blinked before quickly taking a jump back, and a quick look around.
Re: Flee
The net sat on the ground and looked very lonely. It would really enjoy having a friend. Wouldn't A.J. be its friend? They could swing, and swinging was fun.

Re: Flee
He really hoped they weren't more guys like those longcoats. It didn't seem very fair to give a run-away option that wasn't really a run-away option at all.
Re: Flee
See, the net would've been much less complicated than having about ten Munchkinlanders, all painted and covered in feathers and short of stature, rushing out in a loose circle pointing sticks at you.
