Applied Inventiontronics, Period 4 - Week 14
Inventiontronics was in the Danger Shop today, and the Danger Shop looked like a generic field to one side and tall-treed forest to the other.
The guys standing in the field with long black trenchcoats weren't quite so generic, and a few had a bit of shiny metal armor covering one arm. Really, they were probably very hot in those outfits. That was Glitch's general theory as to their disposition.
Glitch, who was standing somewhere about the middle, waved everyone over for a quick explanation. Or, well, as quick an explanation as Glitch could give.
"Today, well, first, your projects are due next week." He let that sink in for a second or two before continuing. "This week, though, you're going to get to learn about defending yourself. With those," he pointed to the men in the severe outfits in the field, "longcoats over there. If you don't want to fight, though, you can head into the forest and deal with the anklebiters. That's probably more evasion than it is defense, but it's good to know if someone is chasing you to get at something you've invented."
It was a loose connection, but Glitch felt it was important and repeated it once before shooing them all off.
[ooc: OCDon the way up!]

Re: After Class (4/14)
"I come in the name of the Thropp Third Descending," he said at a decent volume.
Re: After Class (4/14)
If he was listening closely, he'd be able to hear the smallish hushed voices arguing heatedly about what to do.
Re: After Class (4/14)
A bit imperious, but mostly curious. A little surprised, even. He was actually a very good actor.
Re: After Class (4/14)
"What do you know of the high blood of the Eastern Guild, boy?"
Cheeky, that one.
Re: After Class (4/14)
"I see little of it before me. A high bred Munchkin is taller than you lot.
"I bring back an artifact long thought lost, an item of great power. If you stand in my way, I have no doubt that the Thropp will be quite cross. After all, these lands are not safe."
Re: After Class (4/14)
"We have not needed the higher blood to rule our lands in more years than you've been alive. Though you speak with crass authority we are not about to let you pass."
Oo, that was bad rhyming, and a strange little blue-painted grin as...
Yes, a little red one with a rope was rounding about the other side, brandishing a stick and trying to move fast around Liir's feet to get him to trip, at the very least, if not tied about the ankles.
Re: After Class (4/14)
Well, the broom. But not too high up.
"The Witch's broom, dwarf-get" he said from his perch disdainfully. He knew well enough the kind of insult he was using, but he'd fixed himself to a course and he had to stay it through now.
"And I have been alive for quite some years, though I look it not." And there went his speech patterns.
Re: After Class (4/14)
"I told you! Mention of the Thropp third descending, should not have tried to make his ending!" he badly rhymed at his blue-painted companion.
The blue one, though, still stared with a bit of awe at the boy on the broom.
Re: After Class (4/14)
"Will you let me pass? Or once again to be a Horse's ass?"
Re: After Class (4/14)
Re: After Class (4/14)
He gave them very chiding looks.
"The longer I have to prove this to you, the more danger I put myself in."
Re: After Class (4/14)
"Walk, if you wish, but your feet I'll not bow to kiss."
The red one just shook his head at the blue and sighed. He couldn't ever not be difficult, could he?
Re: After Class (4/14)
"Good day to you all. And thank you for your assistance."
