Library [04/10]

Bridge wanders in to the library, a bit early as usual. After, of course, a few stops in town for library-day necessities. Yesterday had been... weird, for reasons tied to but not directly related to the whole girls-turning-into-guys thing, and he's hoping for a nice normal day to banish any lingering weirdness.

"Oh, hey, dude," Bridge says, pushing his reading glasses up to the top of his head and glancing up at Sky.

Sky casually leaned against the counter.

"How are you? Haven't talked to you in a while," he said.

"Pretty good," Bridge says. Well, certain conversations yesterday had been weird but he's not about to get in to that. And okay, he'd spent the weekend being sick (with one brief interruption involving tracking down an evil teddy bear) but he's pretty sure Sky doesn't want to hear about that.

"That's good," said Sky, smiling. "I'm doing great, too. ...Gun club is having a paintball match out in the preserve later, and I'm probably going to join them. It sounds interesting, if messy."

"Paintball's cool," Bridge says with a grin. Never mind that the last time he'd played, he'd never actually gotten hit thanks to Callisto's refusal to do so. Not that he knew that. "And it's only messy if you get hit, you know."

"Which I won't," said Sky confidently. "Because I'm the best shot on C-Squad. Care to join us, or are you busy tonight?"

"I've got to finish working on my Inventiontronics project," Bridge says apologetically. "Liir and I are testing tomorrow and there's still some tweaks I need to make before that."

"That's alright," said Sky, standing up straight. "I'm sure we'll have plenty of other chances to shoot at each other." This was said with a wink. "Well, I'll leave to to your reading..." He frowned down at the magazine. "Whatever it is you're reading about."
