Journalism Class - Wednesday October 5

Outside the door of the Journalism Classroom is a sandwich board which reads:

Emergency Political Headquarters for the Student Newspaper
Free food, drink and computer terminals within.

Inside, Spider is again distracted, working on something on his laptop. The screen behind him is lit up, however, and reads the following:

Attention Students:

Today's discussion topic, as most of you have guessed, is 'Ugliness'. I am going somewhere with this, be patient. I'm also not participating yet for a very specific reason.

The rest of the screens are dark and in the back of the classroom are several large coffee machines, a huge tray of various pastries and sandwiches and a small refridgerator and microwave. Arranged in that area are several computers obviously borrowed from the school lab and a large sign that reads:

In the middle of a sip, he lowers the cup slightly and shakes his head. "No. No way. I've got enough on my plate." Glancing at them both, he frowns slightly, feeling just a little boxed in.

Chloe looks up at Krycek, giving him a soft pout. "We don't need permanent help. It's just...the elections are coming up so quickly, and there aren't enough people to do everything. I really want this issue to be good, if only to impress Professor Jerusalem. Are you sure you don't have any time to help out?"

Quickly glancing over at Chloe, Jake copies her expression. "Yeah, we need like... What do we need? Interviews! Interviews, yeah. Please?"

"Pretty please," Chloe adds. "We would totally be indebted to you."

Krycek looks between them with a momentarily panicked expression, which he hides behind having another sip of coffee. Realizing that he's not meant to win this, he sighs deeply, giving them both a dark look. "Interviews? That's it?"

"Oh absolutely," Jake says, looking angelic. Not unlike Chihaya's usual expression. She'd tracked all over town yesterday with the angel and picked up a few tricks.

Chloe nods quickly, pleased to see Jake's talent with facial expressions. "Just interviews. That would be the biggest help out of anything."

Krycek sighs again. "If you can give me a list of general questions? Fine. I'll do it you heartless wenches."

Jake's eyes glitter in amusement at him as she drops the angelic face. "Man, you're easy. Who do we need intereviewed?" she adds to Chloe, frowning a little.

Chloe smirks at Jake. "He went down awfully fast, didn't he? I thought we'd have to do at least a few more rounds of persuading." She pulls out her list of candidates, looking it over before glancing back up at Krycek. "Do you think you could interview Gaius Baltar? He's the one I'm having the hardest time getting hold of."

Krycek rolls his eyes, sipping more coffee. "Gaius Baltar? Alright." He eyes the two of them suspiciously. "Wait, he's on the Batshit Ticket, isn't he?"

"...Maybe." Jake thinks it is time to look cute again, so she does.

"I hate you, you know?" Krycek grumps, turning to fill up his coffee cup and take himself out of direct angelic-look firing range. "So if you give me questions, I'll ask."

"Oh, you know you don't really hate us. But that was almost convincing." Chloe gives Krycek her sweetest look, and pulls another sheet of paper out of her notebook. "Here are the questions we're asking everyone. I've been unanimously informed that Baltar doesn't bite, so you really shouldn't have that much of a problem with him."

Taking the paper, Krycek nods, sipping his new coffee as he looks the questions over. "Sounds easy enough. You might if I tape the interview and transcribe it after?"

"Nope, that sounds perfect." Chloe grins and leans in, wrapping her arms around Krycek to give him a tight hug. "Thank you so much. All joking aside, I really do appreciate this." She steps back, taking a look around the classroom with a smirk. "Now I think I'm going to see who else I can wrangle into this mess."
