Reno had a Host Club! And his club had all sorts of neat stuff, like a lego table and a velcro dartboard and those nifty little cards that had pictures on them for matching games and stuff! And there was grape juice! And cookies! And a kind of scary lookin' pizza that he took from the common room last night that might have marshmallows and salami on it, but Reno wasn't sure.

Oh, oh, oh! And bestest of all? Reno's Host Club had boys who were there to entertain the girls or whatever, even if girls did have cooties. It was their duty as hosts to be all entertaining an' stuff, and that's why it had 'Host' in the name and not just 'play with our toys club' or something, and Host Club boys were tough and could totally handle a few cooties anyhow.

So it was really, really good that the clinic had free cootie shots today, maybe.

Oh! And Reno had made a sign with crayons and had hung it up and it was a good sign saying that the Host Club was open to everyone. If you squinted and looked at it sideways and used your 'magination.

And if they were real good, maybe Uncle Barney would tell them all a story, Reno hoped. Because Uncle Barney was awesome.

"What's a keep?" It sounded like something that had stuff kept in it! Reno betted that it was. Totally.

"It's like a castle," he said. And while he knew it was really just a waterworks, he thought that perhaps some of the local history would be more interesting.

"Only it's for keeping royalty in. Prince Fiyero's father took it from enemy forces years and years ago, an' now it's the Arjiki stronghold in the Vinkus. S'where I live other'n here."

"Oooooh." Clearly, Reno hadn't comprehended a word of that. Except the enemy forces stuff. That sounded kinda like the war against Wutai, which Reno didn't really totally understand, but it was big and went on a long time, so everybody knew about it. Of course. "I live in Midgar," Reno explained. "But it essploded."

He bounced a green Lego block against the table to demonstrate.

"So now I live in Edge. And here, too." He nodded and stuck a block randomly in the middle of the keep.

"Essploded?"

Liir looked very disturbed. Especially since the Lego was green.

But he kept building.

Reno nodded.

"A big rock fell on it," he explained, sticking out his tongue. "But the planet totally gotted rid of it. But it was still essploded."

He stuck another block to the table for good measure.

"S'why there's a new city. Oooh! The new city should have a keep, too, like this one!"

Liir nodded.

"That sounds nice."

"What's your other home-place like?" Reno leaned over to inspect the tower. It was Lego-ish. Very nice!

"It's the keep," he said. "S'called Kiamo Ko. And the Arjiki royals all live there and I do too and so does the Witch."

"There's a witch?" Reno scrunched his little face for a moment, thinking, then added another block to the table, outside the keep. It was a tree. Even if it was blue. "There are lotsa witches around here, too. Is the Witch royal?"

Royal people had money. Money was kinda cool.

"No," he said.

"She's green."

He kept working.
