Library [Saturday]

Anyone coming into the library this Saturday would find a weetiny library aide, lying on her stomach in front of her laptop on the front desk.

What? She had a far better view of things going on from up there.

Ami walked in with a serious face. That lasted seconds. Books! IT was clearly time to read.

Mac pushed herself up a little with her hands to look at Ami.

"Hi," she said a little smile for the other girl.

"Hi" Ami waved hello. " I am here to read!" she announced with a big grin. "What are you doing?"

"Saving blue peoples," Mac replied. "The're goin extinct."

"Blue people? What sort of blue people?" Ami wasn't surprised that there are blue people at all.

"This kinda blue people." With that, Mac shoved on the edge of the laptop so it turned and Ami could see a little spherical cartoon with a spring for legs. "Need to get him over the bridge."

"Oooh. Does he jump on the springs or something?"

"Uh huh!" Mac grinned. "He's the best kind," she said. "The ones with legs and skateboards are boring."

"But i bet the skateboards are fast!"

Mac pulled a face. "But bouncing is still better," she decided.

"You have a point." Ami conceded. "So, what do you have to do to make them no go extinct?"

"Gotta get 'em to the special home," Mac explained. "First over the bridge, then up the cliffs and through the woods."

"I usually lose some 'long the way." She didn't seem particularly happy about that fact.

"They wonder off?" Ami asked, nodding. "Can that be prevented? Or do they get caught by somethings?"

"Get stuck," Mac replied with a pout. "Happens if you're too slow, or get stuff wrong."

"Oh... What do you have to get right? Can i help?"

"Gotta make sure they go over the bridge in the right order," Mac told her. "Lil shoes mean ones with feet, wheels means one with skates or board."

She clicked on one with a little propellor so it could fly, and it floated over the bridge. "See?"

"I think so ~~the mun has NO clue~~" Ami said thoughtfully. "Are these the ones with springs?" she asked, pointing to an image.

"Yuh huh!" Mac nodded cheerfully. "So if there's a picture of it at the top, one of them needs to go cross next!"

"Right. So we need two springs and a wheel next, i think?"

"You want to do it?" Mac offered.

She wasn't quite so protective of her macbook as a kid, apparently.

"Sure!" Ami loved computers, even as a kid. Reaching up she clicked to select the right little guys.

Mac clapped gleefully as all three crossed without getting sneezed away.

"We did it!" She grinned at Ami. "I'm Mac," she told the other girl, since she hadn't done that already.

"I am Ami" Ami said and clasped her hand over her mouth "I am sorry, i should have introduced myself." She stands up and bows. "IT is good to meet you Mac."

Mac giggled a little. "I don't mind," she said.

"It is polite. And stuff."

"Guess so..." Mac allowed. Not that bowing had ever been one she'd been taught.

Ami nodded "It is how we do it back home. Insteada hand shaking"

"Where you from?" Mac asked, looking at Ami, head cocked.

"Tokyo!" Ami said proudly. "That's in Japan!"

"Wow!" She looked at Ami in awe. She'd never been outside America, so that was pretty damn impressive. "Is it nice there?"

Ami nodded enthusiastically. "It is most nice. And there are Sailor Scouts and Youma and bad people, but the Sailor Scouts always win!"

"Whatsa Sailor S--thing?"

"Its a girl, and she has magic powers, and she fights evil Youma and has magic lipstick!"

"... magic lipstick?" That was just weird.

"YEs" Ami nodded. "It helps them transform."

"Into what?" Mac? One of those kids that asks LOADS of questions.

"Into Sailor Scouts!" Ami liked questions. Answering them made her feel important. "Wanna see?"

Mac nodded emphatically. "Uh huuuh."

Ami stood up straight and posed with her hand in front of her face. She pulled out a plastic pink cell phone and pressed three buttons. A tube of lipstick appeared out of nowhere and a transformation involving water bubbles occurred. Where Ami stood now stood a tiny adorable chibi-Sailor Mercury.

"Like that!"

Mac just sorta stared in awe ~~and decidedly less emo-look than the icon~~.

"That was so cool!" she announced finally.

Ami giggled. "I can make bubbles!" she said and posed again, as the posing was very important. "Shining Aqua Illusion!" Tiny soap bubbles exploded out of her hand. Ami giggled and started trying to catch them.

Mac also giggled, and clapped her hands, to try and catch the bubbles.

With a grin, Ami changed back. "So, where are you from?"

Whee. Weetininess.

... it is probably telling I find it weird that weetiny is not accepted by my spell checker. It is a word, damn it!
