Having ~~handwavily~~ notified students that today's class was in the Danger Shop and to wear clothes that could get dirty, Aly hoped that everyone would find their way easily. When the students entered the room, they would see that it was set up with a series of obstacles and a ropes course. There was a 25 foot high climbing wall at one end of the room and ropes crisscrossed the ceiling in a variety of patterns. On the floor there was a mud pit, cable walk, and other ~~moddable~~ obstacles.

Aly stood at the edge of the obstacles and waited for everyone to arrive. "Okay everyone, this class is for a few reasons. Someone mentioned wanting to learn how to work with a partner last week, and, for most of us, it was a bit of a stressful week so let's play a bit instead." She grinned. "At least I think it's playing. Those of you who were in my class last spring have played with this before. Doesn't mean you can't do it again. The Danger Shop's safeties are on so you're not going to get hurt, but work together like that's not the case. I haven't split you up into teams - you can go ahead and choose two or three people to work with."

"Anytime you're spying, your life is in the hands of your partner, your contact, your handler, your lover. They screw up? And you're going to end up hurt or dead. Today, the stakes aren't nearly as high. So have some fun with it."

Aly grinned, gesturing for them to pair up.

Sokka nodded. "Sounds good," he told her. "You're not afraid of heights, are you?"

"It's not the height that bothers me, it's the sudden drop when you fall off," she joked, tentatively reaching for a swing. "At least it's not too high, yeah?"

Sokka shrugged. "Heights don't bother me as much anymore -- you spend enough time on the back of a sky bison, you get used to them. Just let me know if you get too scared." Sokka looked down at the ground, and gripped the ropes a little tighter. That... was pretty high. "And don't look down," he added.

Of course, 'don't look down' made her automatically look, and Dōjima whimpered slightly. "Okay. Um. So. Sky bison. How high do those things go, anyway?" Because focusing on the absurd was going to help. Really. "Do you have to watch the altitude on something like that?"

"They go pretty high," Sokka replied, with a grin. "I mean, you can't go as high as an airplane, because it gets kind of hard to breathe way up there, but... Yeah. When it's raining, or you're trying to be inconspicuous, way above the clouds is the way to go." He shrugged. "And if you're flying bareback, it's only your grip on his fur that keeps you from falling to a horrible, horrible death."

"Horrible horrible death, huh? That's one of the things I like about you, Sokka. Always so cheerful," she teased, holding onto the next swing with a death-grip. "Don't you get wet if you dive through a cloud? I mean, how bad does wet bison smell, with all that fur? At least, I'm assuming that your cows and my cows look something alike. Vaguely. Maybe?"

"Oh, you have NO idea," Sokka told her with a grimace. "We didn't normally go through clouds, but enough rain and Appa got pretty funky. And not in the good way."

He grinned at her as he swung to the next swing. "You shouldn't assume ANYTHING around here. And when it come to my world, you ESPECIALLY shouldn't assume anything about the shapes of animals. The animals here are WEIRD. Do your bison have two big horns, shaggy fur, six legs, and a big, flat tail?"

"I don't think this is my Earth, I'm about a half-step over. There's a distinct lack of Witches in this reality, which I consider a bonus," she said cheerfully, moving on to the next one. "Almost there! No, ah, our bison have two big horns and shaggy fur, but only four legs and a little tail."

"Maybe across the causeway," Sokka replied, "but there're a bunch here at school." He shrugged. "It seems like most of the people here come from a world that's really similar to to this one. I'm just one of the ones who doesn't. I think that's kind of cool, really."

He hopped off the final swing onto the platform on the other side. "Ta-da! No falling!"

"I keep telling myself that the ones here at Fandom are Craft users, not Witches, no matter what they insist on calling themselves. Where I'm from? Witches aren't pleasant people, and the body count racks up pretty fast." She jumped off the swing, landing next to him. "Ta da! Best team ever!"

"Ahhh," Sokka said, nodding. "Evil witches. Sort of like the way that when people around here say 'demon' they only mean the evil ones."

He shrugged. "Not the best team ever," he said with a grin, "but pretty darn good for people with no powers."

"That's why we're the best! No powers, except for the power of pure awesome, and we still kicked butt!" Dōjima twirled in a mini victory dance. "Go us."
