World Mythology - Monday, March 17th - 2nd Period

As the students came in today, they might notice that Ghanima was actually sitting behind the desk rather than on it, and she was considerably paler than usual. Sunday's efforts had obviously taken a toll on her.

"Morning, students," she said quietly. "In light of the past week's events, and the fact my brain is currently made of mush, you're going to be watching The Siblings Morbid today. I'd like you to make yourselves comfortable, be it on the floor or at your desks, and decide what myths, if any, you see referenced in the movie, or if it's pure fairy tale. There is tea, coco, water, and hot apple cider in the marked containers along the south wall. Please, help yourselves."

It's not much of a lecture, but do as you would normally do.

Hoshi had way too much to drink last night at Caritas. She was gulping down water and hoping that the aspirin would kick in shortly.

Michael listened, noticing how tired Ghanima looked.

Anders was totally mainlining coffee and water, one in each hand and alternating gulps, today. Mmm, hangovers.

From her seat next to Wyatt, Isabel reached over to pat Anders' shoulder.

Anders peered over and gave her a weak smile. "See," he said, "I didn't disappear."

"Yes but apparently you didn't remember how to use a phone," she said sternly.

He really had no excuse. "I'm . . . sorry?" Anders said in a tiny voice.

Isabel glared a moment longer then sighed, "Promise me you won't do it again?"

Anders's shoulders slumped. "I can't guarantee it, but I promise I'll try not to do it again."

She could only be grumpy for so long, because really, life was good at the moment. "That's all I can ask," she smiled. "How's your poor head?"

He rubbed at said head with one hand and wrinkled his nose. "It's still there."

"And that's a bad thing?" Isabel laughed.

"At the moment, yes," Anders retorted.

Wyatt would've preferred to skip class this morning and figured he had a good excuse, but somehow he dragged himself in anyway.

Blame should probably be placed on the overly conscientious girlfriend who dragged him along with her. A girlfriend who was remarkably cheerful for some reason.

Wyatt didn't have any problem being dragged into class, so long as he wasn't being dragged by his hair. He was in a pretty good mood, too, though he was sleepy.

There was no pulling, just the occasional smoothing or petting of said hair. "I can get this on Netflix if you want to sleep."

"Does that mean we can sneak out and go back to bed?" Wyatt said hopefully.

"I've got Deadpool's class next," Isabel pointed out. "And since I missed it last week ~~since the mun was a dope~~. I'd better go this week. But I promise I'll come find you as soon as it's over."

"So I shouldn't go far, huh?" Wyatt said.

"No," she said immediately. It's possible Isabel was still mildly traumatized by the events of the last two weeks.

Wyatt quickly gave her hand a squeeze. "I'll just go up to my room, okay?" he said.

She smiled, glad he understood. "I'll be there right after class. We can go search out food."
