World Mythology - Monday, March 17th - 2nd Period

As the students came in today, they might notice that Ghanima was actually sitting behind the desk rather than on it, and she was considerably paler than usual.  Sunday's efforts had obviously taken a toll on her.

"Morning, students," she said quietly.  "In light of the past week's events, and the fact my brain is currently made of mush, you're going to be watching The Siblings Morbid today.  I'd like you to make yourselves comfortable, be it on the floor or at your desks, and decide what myths, if any, you see referenced in the movie, or if it's pure fairy tale.  There is tea, coco, water, and hot apple cider in the marked containers along the south wall.  Please, help yourselves."

Isabel glared a moment longer then sighed, "Promise me you won't do it again?"

Anders's shoulders slumped. "I can't guarantee it, but I promise I'll try not to do it again."

She could only be grumpy for so long, because really, life was good at the moment. "That's all I can ask," she smiled. "How's your poor head?"

He rubbed at said head with one hand and wrinkled his nose. "It's still there."

"And that's a bad thing?" Isabel laughed.

"At the moment, yes," Anders retorted.

The fact that she kept looking over at Wyatt and smiling should give Anders some idea of what they did.

Yeah, Anders totally knew that look. He also knew that if he made a call and went to try and go do that same kind of celebrating today, he'd never be back in time for class tomorrow. Why he cared about that -- well, it was Aly's class and he wasn't really inclined to miss it.

"Like baking cupcakes tonight," he mumbled. "I think I'll do that. Yeah. Sugarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

"Well the weekend's coming. You can get the other kind of sugar then," Isabel replied, trying hard not to smirk. "And you can give the cranky demon a hug for me."

"Sorry, big sis, but get in line," Anders said as he folded his arms on his desk and laid his head down atop them. "Behind me, that is. Yeah, I am definitely gonna need that kind of therapy."

She scooched her chair over and gently patted Anders' back. "I know. This weekend was made of suck. Hell, the last two weeks haven't been the greatest. We'd better get some down time or I'm going to be seriously pissed."

"I'm hoping if I make a really huge batch of cupcakes we'll get some down time," Anders said wryly. "Sort of like a functional and still-tasty burnt offering."

"I like that idea. It's better then sacrificing some sort of small, furry animal." Not that she'd actually considered it. But it had been a bad two weeks.

"You had better not," Anders said sternly. "Never mind me -- do you know the look Bridge would give you?"
