Outside of Dr. Carter's classroom is a neatly handwritten sign which says:

Junior Achievers Meeting

Tonight's topics include:

1. Welcoming new members


2. JA's role in the upcoming Student Council Elections


3. Discussion: Has the yearbook staff overshadowed our hopes for the bake sale?


4. Any new business


5. Any words of wisdom from Dr. Carter

The door to the classroom is wide open. The teacher's desk is vacant, awaiting Dr. Carter. On the desk is an open box of brownies from Deb's Diner.

Angelus sits on top of one of the student desks with his feet resting on the chair of the desk in front of him. He leafs through a notebook, occasionally jotting things down as they occur to him. He is dressed in the same black on black ensemble that he had on earlier in the day, but the pin he wore in Study Hall is missing.

Angelus occasionally hums a cheery tune to himself, and occasionally shakes his head as though disbelieving his own inner thoughts.

"Um. Well..." She keeps her voice calm, steady, since he seems alarmed. "I'm from 3500 years in the future. I'm not sure that it's this Earth's future. That's what I mean about branching universes.

"I think the others aren't from the future, so much as they've traveled in time."

"How's your future? I mean, it IS a future, right? People? Plants? Furry things running around making cute noises?"

He calms down a bit. FROM THE FUTURE doesn't mean from THAT future, JohnnieBoy. Doesn't mean from THAT future.

"Holy shitballs, 3500 years? How the hell?"

"It's a future, yes. It's got good and bad." She's wary now, because of course her future is bad, and some of that has to do with her.

"As for how, I don't know. There's a transuniversal boundary at the town limits and 5 miles up. When I hit space, after 5 miles, I'm back in my time and space. It just is.

If you want to know more than that, we probably should get drunk so it'll make sense." She grins.

"So... there's a, what, leash law here for dmensional travel? Yeah, that makes my head hurt. Wierd. And booze sounds good."

"Not sure how or why. It just is. It's the sort of thing Sam might be able to figure out. She's a genius. Me? I'm just a girl with a fucked-up history and keen observational skills." Beka grins. "Looks like this party is over. If you want, I'm headed to the bar...?"

If you just want to assert that he was there, I can NPC his entrance, get him a drink, and let him fade to black (FTB, since you were asking about a lexicon; it's usually used with reference to not writing out a sex scene, but can be used anytime you want to just end a conversation and assert that it happened). If he doesn't want to come, that's totally cool too.)

"Genius. I don't know more than that she's super super smart. I always see her doing two or three projects at once. And before she went away we had some good conversations about my theories. I know the Refugees look to her whenever they have a science question."




(OOC: You might want to just bag it, since it was actually yesterday, he can call Bek though and she can meet him for drinks after the debates. She'll need one. And Harkness is there and was looking to meet Connor and maybe Beka.)

Oh! You're going to go to Homecoming with Sam? Awesome. I love her. She's very cool.

We can talk about future stuff. I want to know why you turned pale when I said I'm from the future, and I'll explain what I can about the Refugees. the part that's not classified that I'm not supposed to know

(Beka originally bought tickets for all of the Colo crowd. Sam wasn't still around, but it's at least arguable that the way I wrote it Sam was covered. Look for the tags of homecoming in the dorm threads?)

Sorry. Forgot you're new. Stargate crew. They call themselves the Colorado Refugees. Most of them operating on the "got sent back as an adult in a teenager body, except maybe Cameron and it's not as clear on the Stargate Atlantis people.
