The door to the classroom is wide open. The teacher's desk is vacant, awaiting Dr. Carter. On the desk is an open box of brownies from Deb's Diner.

Angelus sits on top of one of the student desks with his feet resting on the chair of the desk in front of him. He leafs through a notebook, occasionally jotting things down as they occur to him. He is dressed in the same black on black ensemble that he had on earlier in the day, but the pin he wore in Study Hall is missing.

Angelus occasionally hums a cheery tune to himself, and occasionally shakes his head as though disbelieving his own inner thoughts.

Beka entered, still dressed in the little black skirt, black boots, and white silk blouse from her meeting with Angelus. At first, she leaned up against the doorframe, arms crossed over her chest and just watched. She might not be a vampire, but invitations worked for her too.

Angelus smiled at her. "Hey, Beks. Here to join JA?"

"May need to. Your antics with Angela, and mine with you have caused rather a... ruckus amongst the softer set." This she said quietly. It upset her, but what was right...was right. She'd have to pay the price. Had known she would.

Angelus immediately put on a bewildered face. "What antics?"

Beka gave him a sharp look. "Word gets around. Threats travel. Not smart, Angelus. Really. It's the first truly not-smart thing I've heard you do. Then again, I've threatened to kill a few people too." She looks tired suddenly. "As for the other antics, we weren't exactly discreet in the common room."

"Beks," Angelus said, his voice steady and firm, "if somebody has proof that I've done something to in any way harm a student here at Fandom High, I'd certainly love to see it."

She shrugged. "For something lacking proof, I certainly got my head torn off over it." She waves a hand. "I'm not here to accuse you. We have more important things to do."

[ooc: Looks like they're going ahead with the plotline as-is since it's too late for takebacks]

"Even so," Angelus said, "I appreciate the warning on yet another attempt for students at this school to besmirch my reputation."

{ooc: you sure? We took back the other. And I'd prefer to get this clean if possible. Besides, I hate being in the middle of controversy.)

[ooc: Pretty sure. Was told that they decided to go with it as-is.]

At this, finally, Beka relaxes her guard a bit. "It actually pissed me off plenty. I told them you weren't the enemy, rather the people who were trying to sow dissent between the students were, and left. So... here I am." She laughs a bit. "I probably would've been here anyhow."

"So I take it you're not on the Hottest Ticket anymore?" Angelus asked.

"You could say that." She nodded. "And you'd be correct."

"So what's the plan?" Angelus asked. "They going to come after my evil, evil self and try to destroy me?"

"I doubt it." She stops to consider. "It didn't come up like that. It came up because Parker wanted an excuse to get in my face. You were that excuse. There will be fallout, doubtless, because people know who had no business knowing. Blame Parker for that. I did what I could to contain it."

That makes her laugh, and her eyes sparkle a bit. "Still heroing. Even for you."

"See?" Angelus grinned. "There's hope for you to be a white hat yet."

She smirks. "I don't know. It'd clash miserably with the skirt."

"True enough," Angelus said. "So this change anything for tomorrow? Big debate's coming up."

"If you want me, I'm yours." At this she smirks, knowing he'll take it both ways she means it. "If not, I'll still take your advice as to how to play it. I'm angry enough that I could, honestly, use a clear head to help me think through it."

"I'm still learning about the debate," Angelus said. "Don't suppose you know how questions are submitted?"

"I know that CJ is moderating it. She'll be fair and impartial, and something of a hard-ass about anything out of line. I also know that the audience can submit questions but write-in candidates can't debate. So, Crane can ask me questions from the audience, but he can't actually provide answers to the questions."

"How would you feel about a second event?" Angelus asked. "One where the write-in candidates were given a chance to speak?"

"Fine. It's probably a good idea, whether I'm running independent or for JA, people are going to want to know why I'm not running for Parker's slate and the more time I get to spin that." What are you thinking, Angelus? "I take it you have something in mind?"

"I do," Angelus said. "Assuming I can pull it off which, even for a man of my talents, is a big if. Thursday night. An event for all the candidates, including the ones bucking for write-in, to be able to stand up and speak and say what they stand for. I'm going to need all the help I can get to make this happen though. You in?"

She put out her hand. "I'm in."
