Junior Achievers 2nd Meeting

Outside of Dr. Carter's classroom is a neatly handwritten sign which says:

Junior Achievers Meeting

All are welcome

Tonight's topics include:

  1. Welcoming new members

  2. JA's role in the upcoming Student Council Elections

  3. Discussion: Has the yearbook staff overshadowed our hopes for the bake sale?

  4. Any new business

  5. Any words of wisdom from Dr. Carter

Free food provided.

The door to the classroom is wide open. The teacher's desk is vacant, awaiting Dr. Carter. On the desk is an open box of brownies from Deb's Diner.

Angelus sits on top of one of the student desks with his feet resting on the chair of the desk in front of him. He leafs through a notebook, occasionally jotting things down as they occur to him. He is dressed in the same black on black ensemble that he had on earlier in the day, but the pin he wore in Study Hall is missing.

Angelus occasionally hums a cheery tune to himself, and occasionally shakes his head as though disbelieving his own inner thoughts.

[OOC ETA: For the newbies, these meetings work pretty much like Study Hall. Hop in whenever, join whatever conversation. And the refresh key is definitely your friend.]

"Yeah. How did Ancient Egyptians deal with mummies wtihout shotguns? That's just so primitive." He smirks.

"Yeah, I was wondering about that, but I think that the simple version of staking with pointy wooden stake would suffice for most versions of the undead, or even just using a sword or-" Faith trailed off. "You were kidding, weren't you?"

"Eh, kind of. Mom's been in one of her 'Ooooo shiny' phases, which means she must have a Howitzer or something. She has guns like Imelda Marcos has shoes. So. Yeah. Guns on the mind. Thinking of starting a gun club."

John ponders the usefullness of a wooden stake against a mummy.

"Ah. Yeah, I can't say I'm surprised. I mean, at the gun thing, I'm a little surprised at the shiny part. When I think 'shiny', it's more 'Ooo, sword!'. Maybe that's just me, then."

"Who doesn't go 'Oooh shiny' over a gun, though? Or even a sword?"

Faith shrugged at that. "No one normal, at any rate. I mean, come on- they're all so pretty and shiny."

"I know. The original multitool. Peacekeeper. Decision maker. Stalemate breaker. It slices, it dices."
