Library [03/06]

Right, like a little thing like being stuck as a sparkly ball of light is gonna stop Bridge from opening the library.

Which is why he asked Jen to come along to do the actual unlocking-the-doors part, since he can't exactly at the moment.

The library is open!

"Good," Jen replies, "because I think that would be pretty painful. How much do you miss having hands right about now, even if you do have to wear gloves?"

"Well, you are helping me with my ship," Jen points out. "With any luck I'll be able to fly it off the beach by next week. Maybe."

"Not as satisfying when you don't have your own hands to work with, I guess," Jen acknowledges. "I know the feeling."

She can't believe she actually misses that odd jobs business.

"I know," Jen says sympathetically. "If there's anything I can do to help get you guys back to normal . . . or if you can't, maybe I can help you figure out how to at least become a . . . flying whappy sparkleball of robot doom or something."

She stops, agape, and promptly covers her face with her hands. "I can't believe I just said that."

"Shut up," Jen says, but she's chuckling.

Still behind her hands, granted.

"But an incredibly dorky thing to say," Jen retorts.
