Welcome to the study hall for Tuesday. If anybody's looking for me, the gremlins are on an upswing today, so I'll be prowling around with a cricket bat and a CD player with Music To Bash Things With.

A few announcements:

-- Please go here to participate in the roll call of student clubs so that we can make sure that all student clubs are accounted for.

-- The student body is reminded that any student going to Homecoming will need to purchase tickets. Homecoming elections will be held this Friday, and Homecoming is this upcoming weekend. Also, in student council news, the Student Council Election Debates will be held Wednesday night, with the election itself taking place on Monday.

-- In other news, five teaching positions will be listed later on today for your perusal. We are in need of new teachers, so please check that out when the post is made.

-- For some fucking reason, Locker 327 has been in reverse all morning long and has been randomly spewing strange things into the halls. Someone should be repairing it later in the week, but until then, be aware of the dangers and be on guard accordingly.

-- In related news, there's a mime loose on campus. And no, you're not allowed to kill it. You are, however, allowed to mock and point.

*grimaces* I wouldn't do anything illicit to a friend of yours. But must I be good, Callisto? I'm rather sick of the white hat act. It doesn't suit a girl with a criminal record longer than her hair. I protect my people, right enough, but... I need to have a little bit of fun. Back to Angelus then, I suppose.

In politics? Yes, your hat must be blindingly white.

Besides there are far worse alternatives than Wednesday.

Ugh. *sighs* But white is so...dreary. My public face is white enough. I'm running with Parker's girly girls. *makes a face* I can't tell you how it pains me to talk cookie recipes and bake sales. Next time... next time we form the "Axe to Grind" ticket. Deal?

"My name is Wednesday Addams." Wednesday offered her hand. "I'm very pleased to meet you." ~~Creepy is my middle name, or one of them. Wednesday Creepy Axe Murderer Etc Addams~~

Beka took the very odd girl's hand. "I'm sure the pleasure is all mine." There's a warmth to Beka's voice. "High school politics can be so melodramatic. I hope the fact we're running against each other won't interfere with us becoming friends." ~~The Etc part must be a bitch for people to spell.~~

"Certainly not," Wednesday assured her gravely. "After all, conflict would defeat the stated purpose of the office which we are pursuing." It's only three letters, after all. How hard could it possibly be?

At this, Beka nods. "It would. I'm very interested in forging strong relationships between the students. No matter who wins the election. So, if you win, count me in to help." ~~There's the whole matter of the period, and of whether the 'c' comes before or after the 't'.~~

"That's very generous of you," Wednesday admitted, still with that odd gravity. "I should be pleased to offer the same." It's a family name. My grandfather thought it was old-fashioned so he removed the period. It's still better than Wednesday Creepy Axe Murderer Etcetera Addams - although neither of them fit on standardized forms.

"Don't let it get around. If they start adding generous to sweet, I'll never be able to wear black again in this town." Beka offers a wry smile. "I like black." ~~Pity though, the Etcetera has a mysterious, sexy edge to it. My uncle nicknamed me 'Rocket'. For rather obvious reasons.~~

"Not wear black?" Wednesday glanced almost involuntarily at her long skirts. "I'd need a completely new wardrobe." ~~Rocket is a bit too new-fangled for my family, I'm afraid. Very steeped in tradition. And axe murders.</strike.~~

*eyes Callisto* ~~My roommate (*cough* sometimes lover *cough*) is against the plan. We'll have to be very... subtle. You can be subtle. Can't you, Crane?~~

Took your meds this morning, I see. *cocks her head consideringly* It's a shame you're so psychotic. You're prettier than my usual fare, unless you count Daniel but he's being bizarre, but you're smart and that's appealing.

Hey, I could be worse. I could be, oh I dunno, trying to kill everyone on campus. But we'll save that for later *grins*
