Study Hall -- Tuesday, October 4th

Welcome to the study hall for Tuesday. If anybody's looking for me, the gremlins are on an upswing today, so I'll be prowling around with a cricket bat and a CD player with Music To Bash Things With.

A few announcements:

-- Please go here to participate in the roll call of student clubs so that we can make sure that all student clubs are accounted for.

-- The student body is reminded that any student going to Homecoming will need to purchase tickets. Homecoming elections will be held this Friday, and Homecoming is this upcoming weekend. Also, in student council news, the Student Council Election Debates will be held Wednesday night, with the election itself taking place on Monday.

-- In other news, five teaching positions will be listed later on today for your perusal. We are in need of new teachers, so please check that out when the post is made.

-- For some fucking reason, Locker 327 has been in reverse all morning long and has been randomly spewing strange things into the halls. Someone should be repairing it later in the week, but until then, be aware of the dangers and be on guard accordingly.

-- In related news, there's a mime loose on campus. And no, you're not allowed to kill it. You are, however, allowed to mock and point.

Beka took the very odd girl's hand. "I'm sure the pleasure is all mine." There's a warmth to Beka's voice. "High school politics can be so melodramatic. I hope the fact we're running against each other won't interfere with us becoming friends." The Etc part must be a bitch for people to spell.

"Certainly not," Wednesday assured her gravely. "After all, conflict would defeat the stated purpose of the office which we are pursuing." It's only three letters, after all. How hard could it possibly be?

At this, Beka nods. "It would. I'm very interested in forging strong relationships between the students. No matter who wins the election. So, if you win, count me in to help." There's the whole matter of the period, and of whether the 'c' comes before or after the 't'.

"That's very generous of you," Wednesday admitted, still with that odd gravity. "I should be pleased to offer the same." It's a family name. My grandfather thought it was old-fashioned so he removed the period. It's still better than Wednesday Creepy Axe Murderer Etcetera Addams - although neither of them fit on standardized forms.

"Don't let it get around. If they start adding generous to sweet, I'll never be able to wear black again in this town." Beka offers a wry smile. "I like black." Pity though, the Etcetera has a mysterious, sexy edge to it. My uncle nicknamed me 'Rocket'. For rather obvious reasons.

"Not wear black?" Wednesday glanced almost involuntarily at her long skirts. "I'd need a completely new wardrobe." Rocket is a bit too new-fangled for my family, I'm afraid. Very steeped in tradition. And axe murders.</strike.
