Study Hall -- Tuesday, October 4th

Welcome to the study hall for Tuesday. If anybody's looking for me, the gremlins are on an upswing today, so I'll be prowling around with a cricket bat and a CD player with Music To Bash Things With.

A few announcements:

-- Please go here to participate in the roll call of student clubs so that we can make sure that all student clubs are accounted for.

-- The student body is reminded that any student going to Homecoming will need to purchase tickets. Homecoming elections will be held this Friday, and Homecoming is this upcoming weekend. Also, in student council news, the Student Council Election Debates will be held Wednesday night, with the election itself taking place on Monday.

-- In other news, five teaching positions will be listed later on today for your perusal. We are in need of new teachers, so please check that out when the post is made.

-- For some fucking reason, Locker 327 has been in reverse all morning long and has been randomly spewing strange things into the halls. Someone should be repairing it later in the week, but until then, be aware of the dangers and be on guard accordingly.

-- In related news, there's a mime loose on campus. And no, you're not allowed to kill it. You are, however, allowed to mock and point.

Marty walks into study looking mighty casual today. For once he's not wearing a tie.

He also places a poster on the wall that says:

Stop "Mime Crime" before it becomes truly annoying.



He sits down and starts working on his sociology homework.

Glancing over at Marty's poster, she comments, "Ask Angelus about Evil.. and look, there are the mimes, right on schedule."

"Mimes are a serious threat to this community and should not be tolerated. Vampires, demons and mythological-creatures-that-aren't-really-mythological-after-all are okay, but we have to draw the line someplace."

Nodding solemnly, she comments, "Of course. The white face paint, the pursed lips, the black leotards, the invisible boxes.. who knows just what they're up to with those invisibile boxes? They could do anything with them."

Marty nods in agreement.

"These Mimes are a menace to society! What's next? Rodeo clowns? Bad balloon animals."

Marty shudders in horror.

"Something has to be done."

Marty stands up in the middle of study hall and makes an announcement.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, and Anthromorphics lifeforms! We have a mime on campus and he/she/it must be stopped! Who's with me?!"

Wednesday raised an eyebrow. "To defeat a mime, all you really need is a washcloth. Calm yourself, Martin."

"Mimes? Damn, that's scary." Lilly leaned on the desk next to Marty. "I wanted to say thanks for all the homecoming help, and just check to see how it's all going."

"Not a problem, but I don't know if I've done everything yet. I've got a few bands picked out from the local laundromats, car washes and street corners. Duran Duran said they'd be willing to do it if they can each have a ham sandwich, but I talked them down to one sandwich split six ways. Have you heard back from my doppelganger?"

[OOC: Got some small banners which are that great, but it mostly has the bands singing live. Is there an e-mail address you like me to send the html code to? Should have them done by tomorrow night.]

That's great. Although, we should probably just let them have whatever they want, food-wise, after the dance, if we're getting the food from the cafeteria.

"Well, whatever we give them, it isn't untill after they play. I don't trust the food around here, especially since they probably aren't that healthy to begin with."

"Yeah. Blondie looked like she could definitely use some OJ and a flu shot. So the Chef is doing the food for Homecoming? Did he say anything about the menu? Because I'm not going near his Chocolate Moose."
