Today Deadpool was feeling distinctly lazy.

He blamed television.

That might be why he put on a video for the class. Full circle, you see. Full circle.

"Before we start on interrigations next week, I wanted you kids to see how aninvestigation goes in real life," He told them seriously.

A beat.

"Well, real life if you're created by Dick Wolfe and love being overly dramatic, at least. Just go with it."

He rolled his eyes at her glare. "You're not seriously interested in this, are you?" he whispered.

"Beats getting things thrown at me," she said, tossing one of the wads back at him.

"I was just getting your attention," he explained, batting the paper away.

"Well, you definitely have it," she whispered.

"Good," he grinned, not that he knew what to do with her attention once he had it. "So now you entertain me."

Jaina tried not to laugh in class. "I think the show's supposed to be doing that."

He glanced at the screen then back at her. "Yeah, it's failing. No explosions or witty dialog."

"I'm not going to explode either," she pointed out.

"Yes, but see right there? You're funny," he smirked.

"Perfect, then I entertained you," she teased.

"I was hoping for the entertainment to last longer," John pointed out quietly.

"It seems like kind of a long show..."

John nodded. "And really not funny. You do anything interesting this weekend?"

"Talked to Karal," she said, moving her chair closer as quietly as possible. "Training. Otherwise, no. How about you?"

"Football, cleaning," he told her. "Nothing interesting."

"I need to start coming to practices more. Just to see it," she decided.

"Who knows, you watch it enough, you just might decide to play," he teased.

"I wouldn't want to show you up or anything," she grinned.

"We have a no powers rule," he informed her. "Besides, Willow has Peter on her team, so I'd have dibs on you."

"You just completely ruined the teasing I had going on," she said, shaking her head at him.

"Well, you'd still get to show me up, I'd just benefit from it in the end."

"And you'd be okay with that?" she asked, and while it was a hypothetical question, it was one of those that could actually be useful to know. "Being shown up?"

"'Course," he shrugged, because he'd considered this a bit after last week. "Makes for better competition."

"I'm going to remember you said that," she promised.

"You say that a lot," he replied. "At some point you're going to forget."
