Today Deadpool was feeling distinctly lazy.

He blamed television.

That might be why he put on a video for the class. Full circle, you see. Full circle.

"Before we start on interrigations next week, I wanted you kids to see how aninvestigation goes in real life," He told them seriously.

A beat.

"Well, real life if you're created by Dick Wolfe and love being overly dramatic, at least. Just go with it."

(Mmmm, L&O:SUV. My favorite show about car related crimes.)

John nodded. "And really not funny. You do anything interesting this weekend?"

"Talked to Karal," she said, moving her chair closer as quietly as possible. "Training. Otherwise, no. How about you?"

"Football, cleaning," he told her. "Nothing interesting."

"I need to start coming to practices more. Just to see it," she decided.

"We have a no powers rule," he informed her. "Besides, Willow has Peter on her team, so I'd have dibs on you."

"You just completely ruined the teasing I had going on," she said, shaking her head at him.

"Well, you'd still get to show me up, I'd just benefit from it in the end."

"And you'd be okay with that?" she asked, and while it was a hypothetical question, it was one of those that could actually be useful to know. "Being shown up?"

"'Course," he shrugged, because he'd considered this a bit after last week. "Makes for better competition."

"Besides being friends with Karal? No. But I can make it a point to remember."

"What does Karal have to do with it?" he asked.

"His memory's scary in the good way. I could just tell him and he could keep reminding me," she said. Telling someone else totally counted as special memory skills.

"Yeah, that doesn't count," he shook his head. "Otherwise you'd be telling him everything I say." And that was just creepy.

"Yeah, still creeps me out." It probably didn't help that John was still annoyed with Karal for implying he had something to do with Gavin's issue on radio.
