Applied Inventiontronics, Period 4 - Week 7

The desks were paired off again, each with a set of tools, and there was a crate full of completely modable spare parts.

Yes, kids, it is project time again, and Glitch was standing at the front of the class looking very delighted by the whole thing. Really, this was probably his favorite kind of class to teach.

"Alright, class," he said with a smile. "Today, you're going to build something out of nothing. Pick up some parts and start to put them together. Don't worry if you can't get it to work or don't have a set design for it. It doesn't even have to have a real function, if you can't find one, heh. The point of this is for you to get an idea of what it's like to start building something with these materials."

There may or may not have been a moment or two where he bounced ever so slightly, but those moments should be ignored.

"And don't forget that after next weeks break, you'll need to be ready to bring in your preliminary designs for your final projects."

Nothing like ending the lecture on something to strike fear into the hearts of his students, though that wasn't entirely intended.

[ooc: The OCD is a work in progress up!]

"Purple. The two should work well together." Anathema said.

"I agree," he said, looking about the room. "The question is, do you think they have paints in here?"

"It's Fandom. Everything is always available." Anathema said as she began on her sketch.

"Well okay, then," he replied, starting his sketch as well.

"So are we thinking about keeping the gears mostly on a single plane? All two dimensional like? Or are we going up, up and out?"

Anathema considered this. "Let's go up and out. There's some gears that are good for that here."

"Up and out it is," Andrew agreed, making a few quick modifications to his sketch.
